    My gauge only takes a few seconds to get to its normal reading. I always keep the RPMs under 1500 and my tach is about 200 RPM too high. I verified this with my timing meter. I might need a new tach pickup but I'm not overly worried about it right now.

    Drilling for a pyro

    I would go with pulling the crossover pipe before drilling and starting the engine afterward to blow the debris out. It's a lot easier than possibly having to rebuild the turbo and you have a leak to deal with anyway.

    Currently, I have a 2.5" straight pipe exiting a little after the end of the cab. Everything else is stock until I get the turbo installed and that will be no less than a 3" straight pipe. I might exit it the same place or run it all the way back. I would be installing a Banks or ATS exhaust.

    Could you tell us why you are replacing the hard lines? It is pretty uncommon to do so. Maybe your issues could be caused by something else. As far as I know, you can use E-series lines on an F-series but you will have to move your pulse timing adapter to #4.

    I second being careful and using a line wrench on the hard line. The hardest part for me was cleaning off all the 20 year old gasket material from the block. I went with a straight shaft pump because it is supposedly easier to install.

    Will this work with an ATS 088? If so, I will be needing one soon. I also need to find some O-rings for the pedestal and both for the intake hat. The O-rings on my kit are old and hard, so I am doubting they will seal.
