Possible diesel in oil crankcase??
I just did a zf5 swap and at same time replaced my 6.9 with a supposedly good used 6.9 that had been sitting for @ 5 years or so. Started right up and seems to run good. But I thought I had a valve cover oil leak that was dripping down on exhaust pipe, from exhaust manifold on driver side...- jibronee

ZF-6 2WD Conversion to 88' 7.3
Putting together a 88', 2WD work truck with 7.3 idi. 1. Will a 7.3-zf6 be a straight bolt in to my 88'-7.3? From scouring the forums, it seems like I would delete the thick, steel plate as the zf6 has a thicker bell housing flange? 2. Can I use the zf6 flywheel/clutch set up on my idi...- jibronee

Will T19 Transfer case bolt to ZF5? (84' Auto to 5-speed conversion.)
84' F350 dually, auto 6.9, 4x4; converting to 89' zf5. Finally got most/all parts; I think. Bought an 85' f250, 4spd, 4x4, 6.9 parts truck for transfer case, pedal assembly, tunnel shift plate, etc. Purchased an 89' zf5 separately. Haven't ripped everything apart yet, but also replacing...- jibronee

5 speed Clark 280 V0 grinds going into 3rd
I bought a used, 1970, Ford, previously rebuilt clark 280v0 5 speed. It's a close ratio with OD. Shift pattern is: 1 2 5 R 3 4 Seems pretty odd to me, is this std? Also grinds when going from 2nd to 3rd if shifting to fast. Definitely grinds when down shifting from 4th to 3rd...- jibronee
