Haha, damn thats a big turning radius Oldbull.
Ok, I want to compare an F-250 extended cab 4x4 longbed to F-350 regular cab 4x4 longbed.
I tried the google option but couldn't find any definitive answers so thought I would consult the IDI brotherhood.
Hey everyone,
Been awhile since I posted. I 'm the guy who shipped a 1994 Turbo IDI down to the Caribbean a few years ago. Truck is still running great and I sure do love it!
I recently bought a piece of land and working on building a house. The access to the land is a little tight and...
Only a 2WD, but still looks pretty nice...

I GOT IT!
I GOT IT!
I GOT IT!
Yesterday was a huge relief as I finally got the stuck tip out. I clamped the needle nose vice grips on the glow plug tip close to the block. Shoved a sweet little pry bar I borrowed from work in there, and worked it real suave like. She popped out finally...
Still struggling with this stuck glow tip
Well I'm going on a week now that I have battling this stuck glow plug tip in position #7. It is a Motorcraft brand so I have been hoping that it is just carbon buildup and not swelling. When I was trying to remove it, the electrical connection broke...
So I replaced my glow plugs about 6 months ago and never did #7 becauese I couldn't get to it. I recently had some hard starting issues. Checked #7 and no light on the test light.
So I finally managed to get the wrench in there and the threaded body of the plug came out but the tip itself...
Well I got the outside part unscrewed but the tip is stuck in there (motorcraft). There is about 1.5" sticking up to grab with something. I can wedge my fingers in and it feels to be stuck pretty good. I just read a few threads about this and have come to the realization that I am in a bad...
Is there a special tool or technique i can use to remove the glow plug on the passenger side all the way to the rear? I never replaced that one back when I changed them all and now it is bad. I guess I could remove the injector next to it but if there is an easier way I would rather not mess...
I wish I could justify the expense of a baby moose.
Anyone heard of international fuel systems (IFS) http://www.ifsinternational.com/ ???
I found an IP pump remanned by them for $275. Seems like a pretty good deal.
Well, I chickened out........
Not really, actually I decided it would be pretty dumb to just do the injectors. I like to do things the right way so I will get a new IP pump and do injectors at the same time.
Any suggestions on where to get a IP pump from? I know there is...
Man I love this forum, you guys are the best! Thanks for the tips. I'll be sure to update after the install. Hopefully won't have to come on here mid-project for help.
Hey guys,
The Caribbean IDI is still going strong. I received the injectors and return line kit I ordered from Type4. I plan on putting them in this weekend.
First, I will install a new fuel filter and start the truck to make sure everything is primed up before starting on the job...
Hey Guys,
I have been without a/c for awhile and finally decided to do something about it. Here's what I know- the fan clutch is not spinning. I can spin it by hand with the truck off. With the a/c on max, voltage gets to the fan clutch terminal when the low pressure switched is jumpered...
