    nope...4bt... I asked on the 4bt cummins forum...too much money involved to make the swap happen...i could find a 12v 6bt for what these guys are spending to put a 4bt into something...not worth it imo.

    every one i fix, i take the big ol' miller mig and lay 3.... 3/8" long beads around the nut...never had a single problem with the shaft being weakened...never had the nut back off again either.

    normal...your getting low boost black smoke....once the boost picks up, its burning more of it, hence less smoke.

    anyone know where to get info to swap out a 360 gasser....to a cummins 4bt diesel. I would like to take the 360 out of my in-laws 95 farm truck...and put a 4bt in its place. the truck is an automatic.

    then i wouldnt worry about smoke. you could always mess with the smoke/response screw if you want it to smoke...but it may hurt the performance.

    03's and 04's had alot of injector problems...especially o-rings that would eventualy fill the crankcase full of diesel fuel...personally, i would stear away from 03 and 04's.

    their IP's are 1300 bucks.....thats alot more than we already pay for em....i'll give em a call though and see how much it would be to rebuild a pump we send them.....doubt theyll budge on price though.

    Misfire problems

    had one in yesterday, so this is what reminded me to post back remove the air cleaner off the throttle body, take a flashlight and open the butterflies, look into the intake...if there oil in the bottom of the intake planum you have a blown lower intake pan gasket...very common on the older...

    had one do this...turned out to be a locked up torque convertor....does it lunge really hard before it dies? if so, this may be your problem..if not...not the t/c this time

    Need help leveling my truck

    you cannot put the spacers up front on a 2wd, the camber adjustment wont be anough to get it back into alignment, and theres nothing to really hold the spacer in its place.also the rack and pinion would sit in such a way that the tie rods would be on a very hard angle...and wear out fast...

    the big thing with tst is it wont de-fuel if needed...as the edge (unless its turned to a drag box) will to an extend and not allow destruction so easy.

    and EGT....i have seen the tst box melt more pistons than not. i'd ditch the tst, get an edge comp, stacked with a smarty....4"downpipe with at least 4" all the way out.
