I have vehicles that sit in winter (Like my mower) I would rather not have to pull dead batteries to claim warranty and just keep them in a charged state without having to rearrange garage space and parking for three vehicles because I need to start and run them to keep the batteries charged...
What are you guys using for battery maintenance? I have been through 2 Schumacher's in 2 years. I like to keep my mower battery and at least one spare vehicle on a trickle charge but these modern Schumacher's stop working after the warranty is out.
I just got back to MI yesterday from IN. The shop that did the original work is closed until Monday. They will get a visit from me, receipts in hand. My suspicion is that they might cover the labor which was $111. The part, including expedited shipping was $110

The splines are gone on mine. I need a replacement. Truck is a 6.9 IDI but it's my understanding that ford used the same assembly in all f series from 80 through 87
Thanks for all the feedback and help. I didn't do the clutch myself so I don't know if the thrust bearing was done. I actually know decent shop in this location so I will float it there on monday. Meanwhile I'm enjoying a bud and celebrating with my American brothers in arms in achieving...
