How's yer guys' reliability
It does not matter what truck you get, you will have problems. The 24v cummins is a great motor. Make sure that your vp-44 pump is good and put an Air-dog fuel system on it.(or whatever you like) I have seen a few with 400,000 miles and still going great. Well not sure what to call it......flames coming out of my turbo.(like little pops) Black smoke with a tint of gray. Which I know is just fuel.- 444diesel

New Truck. I have Questions.
Picked up my first IDI the other day. 1991 IDI w/banks turbo. This truck smokes like a pig! A hase while idling and on thick smoke on the bottom end. My pyro takes a while to get up to 1100. I know how to adjust the fuel and timing. I removed the down pipe and noticed that it is backfiring out...- 444diesel
