When i got my truck the original column was trashed from the po so i replaced it with a regular column. I now have all the pieces to get cruise working again except the column is a non cruise column. What wires do i need to hook up cruise again?? I have original column for parts as needed.

Check u joints and if its a 10.25 rear check the pinion nut. Had what i thought was transmission problems but it was rear pinion nut. When it loosened it smoked the u joint and i think the tcase also.
When my column went bad in my 87 bronco i just took plastic trim off around column and found the rod on top and used it to start truck. To unlock the steering wheel i gave it a good twist and it broke free. Thats the only way i know to do it.

I found some 2 inch lift springs for the front of my truck for cheap. Dont know what brand and the truck had a 4.9/zf combo in it and was a f250. Will these work on my truck? I cant fit my pinky inbetween stop and leaf now and if these will work i will get them. Thanks for any info.
When mine rattled i just slid a piece of rubber tube over the torx bolt for the striker where the plastic bushing goes just dont get to big of an O.D. cause itll cause door to shut hard. Another method i used on my 86 was electrical tape wrapped to desired thickness. It lasts for a good while.
