Thanks for the reply Papabear but Rotella is cheaper and readily availiable compared to ordering Amsoil. I believe it's a good product that many people swear by. Nowadays cost has to factor into everything I do so brand loyalty takes a back seat to cost. At least it has to for me.
Thanks for the reply. The Amsoil Ea026 looks like a stock filter but the by-pass is bigger and I usually change it every other time I do a oil change. I'm just trying to find cheaper filters than the Amsoil and cheaper syn. oil cause the fuel prices are killing me.-cuss
I have a dual bypass setup and was looking for both filters to cross reference. It looks like the primary one is a stock filter but the secondary is giving me some trouble. Thanks for the info.
I'm looking for any info on cross referencing Amsoil oil filters (Ea026 and EaBP100) to any other filters like NAPA, Baldwin, etc. I hope there is someone out there that can help. Thanks in advance.
The Western New York Powerstroke Association is holding a dyno on May 10 at John Andersons new shop. He purchased TF Racings dyno which we have used for our other dynos. I posted on that "other" site and have gotten no responses. It is open for all diesels and the dually boys will not have to...
This might be a stupid question. What if your truck has bigger than stock tires on and you get on the dyno and it says your at 400 hp and then you put on a set of stock tires and it gets you to 450 or so. Do you have to take into consideration your tire size to know what the safe limit your hp...
Thats to bad. Fuel prices are crazy and the reasons they give for the prices are crazier. Thats a whole nother subject. Pics will be posted. Thanks for the replies.
The install is not difficult at all. Three bolts and connecting the elec. connector is all that needs to be done. I believe the bolts require a #10 socket. Is yours an adj. pedal? If the one I have on now goes south I think I'm going to try a non adj. one.
My first set of rotors needed to be turned at 7K. At 15K I bought a set of stockers. They lasted till 24K. Thats when I put on the Powerslots just on the front and left the rears alone. I'm at 37k now and will need some all around. The caliper upgrade sounds good but the price just blew me...
I couldn't find it on Fordparts.com. I ordered it from them last July. I found the same thing at powerstrokeshop.com for the same price ($43.30). The part # is 2C3Z9F836DE. I don't know if you have the adj. or the fixed but if you go to the Engine Sensors category then click on 9F836 TPS...
I'm just wondering what kinds people are running. I just can't seem to keep a set of rotors on mine for longer than a year. I don't haul very often and I'm sick of the pulsating of the pedal, the jumping of the truck, and the steering wheel that goes back and forth. I have PowerSlots on now...
This problem happened to a member of my club. I've been lucky so far by not getting any bad fuel. I guess he was running low and had to fuel up at a place other than his regular place. He said he changed his filter and noticed sand and some shit in there. He's worried about his injectors...
There seems to be some bad fuel around here in the Western New York area. I was wondering if its a problem in other parts of the country. What do you guys do when it happens to you? Is there anyone that ruined their engine and got some compensation from the station or refinery? What do you...
I'm sure they have some fans down there that would work. They have just about everything else.:D I remember cause that Dodge needed more air cause it was over heating.LOL
Lets put the old intercooler back on the new engine, get the dyno numbers on it , then put the 6.0 in and run it in Bradford. The more we do it the faster the change will be. I'm sure the guys in Bradford have everything we need.
