    V10 MPG??

    I drive a '00 F-250 V10 5speed (yes 5, not 6) 2WD with 3.73 gears. Its an extended cab long bed with 183,000 on the clock. My daily commute is about 55 miles with speed limits anywhere between 25 and 60 MPH. I've been checking it pretty religiously, and its resting at a pretty consistent 13MPG...

    Looking for T3 to T4 Adapter Flange 1/2" thick.

    Workin towards putting a turbo on my JD 4020, and ran into a snag with my turbo. It's a Garrett/AiResearch reman, and the mounting foot is 1/2" shorter than the AiResearch exhaust housing was. It's also a T4 and the manifold is a t-3. 1/2" would be preferable, but I can make 3/4" work...

    From what I've been taught: White smoke is "cold" raw unburned fuel Black smoke is incompletely burned fuel Blue smoke comes from burning oil. Just my own $.02 on the matter.

    Well, honestly I have no idea. They've got a cam meant for operation in the 1000 to 2500 range in most cases. Makes for good lugging power and torque, but I'm afraid it would be in expense of necessary horsepower. For instance, the 4010 gas was rated around 80 horse, and that was with a 302...

    Yeah, and the 404/466 was just the "Waterloo Small Block"! haha. the 531/619 was considered the "Big Block". The one I've been brainstorming about recently is the 329/359/414 Dubuque 6 cyl. A bit smaller, and easier to handle than a 404/466.

    I can't agree more that Cummins' are getting way over-used in swaps. They're a great engine, but I've just gotten so de-sensitized to cummins swaps, it ain't even funny. I can appreciate the craftsmanship, and work that goes into them, but a "novel idea" is only that for so long.

    That's almost as good as this fella i went to high school with. His dad had a '93 Chev, with a 6.2L that he SWORE UP AND DOWN HAD 400HP!!!!! Needless to say, he was more than disappointed when I outran him in my dad's '04 F-250, with a two-hundred-some-odd HP 5.4LTriton. . .
