4BT in place of a 6BT????
We haven't done a 6 but the mounts and trans adapter are the same. I think we have a 6bt for sale. The 4b's are nice, we build it to 300+Hp and 500 ft-lbs of tourque. Very streetable, they weigh about the same as a big block chevy. You should get over 20mpg. Later 6bta- 6bta

We have done a bunch of those conversions. Pick ups , 1 tons never in a jeep. Just about everyone 20 plus mpg. We run a 4b in our race truck, it's an 86 ranger. That runs all day at the dragstrip on 10 gallons of diesel. Let me know if I can help. Later, 6bta- 6bta

New mill for the wrecker...

Hey Packrat, how about a cummins 4 bt? I have a guy with one in a GMC mason dump. He pulls a 9 ton trailer with a mini komatsu on it and he loves it and that engine is a stock 120 hp. Let me know if I can help, Later- 6bta

Hey, I thought everybody picked up thier toys and went home. It wouldn't take much to bump a 4b to 200 hp. I would say a small injector upgrade and a timing adjustment should get you there. I can supply the adapters stick,auto,chevy,ford,dodge you get the picture. As far as the s10 how does 25 to 30 miles to the gallon sound? We ran this combination on the street, 190 degrees 26 mpg. On drag radials there wasn't a rice burner that could touch it. We get a shake at about 3000...- 6bta

4bt I'm not saying it can't be done, all I'm saying is 500 hp is possible with the 7100 without the nos or propane. We run a ve pump on the ranger it's maxed out and we are still in need of more fuel, no smoke at full boost. I've ben told 500 plus hp out of a 4b with an inline pump. The...- 6bta

4bt No bombing yet, the cam gear walked off 3/8" and a little oil in the cooling system. Not bad for turning 4300 rpm through the traps. Most of the 4b's for automotive application were 105 or 120hp depending on if they were cooled or not. That s-10 should be easy, the 4b is short and...- 6bta

The engine is in a 3000lb Ford ranger 2wd. Diesel fuel only no propane or nos. 320 hp 545 ft.lb at the crank. Best of 12.47 @ 102 so far.- 6bta
