1993 E150 van 5.8L to 7.3 swap worth it
Thinking out loud here..My new to me E150 has 170k on it..I know the pushrod 5.8 is tired, rods like to rattle when I decelerate and while between 4rd and 4th gear. Just got a 196 dollar price for 8 new ones from truck king international in maspeth ny Is there something cheaper available with good quality? truck is a 1989 international s1654 with a non turbo idi 7.3.. has the bullet connectors at the plugs- philadelphia

before i try a turbo is there an mech dt466
Im sure a turbo is in the works for my truck.id like a blower but realistically i dont have the time and workspace for such a project.. I like the power numbers available for the dt466 but i dont want an electronic engine...Is there some older mdt's i should look for like an s1900 or something..- philadelphia

mdt twin turbo
Just toying around with this one.. Im thinking of pulling the plug on a hypermnax or ats kit but the cost is almost what i paid for the truck. So im thinking what about two smaller factory turbos. Now i know that the a/r wont be dead on and whatnot but at this point its just an idea. So...- philadelphia

any ny'ers even down to delaware that will check my timing
Im new to diesels so i dont really want to get deep into the engine without experenced help. I just put my egt gauge on and unloaded im seeing 900ish running the truck hard..Im gona load it with my ramcharger tonight at maybe 4500 lbs to see what i get.. differences between a ford and interntional 7.3idi

should i run these mufflers or will they choke the engine
I have some 2 chaber flowmaster 3" mufflers laying around. Im gonna install a 5" dia stack off a peterbuilt soon and remove the stock international muffler on my truck..Its what comes stock on a 1989 s1600 with the 7.3.
