    It's to remove the bolts that hold the flex plate to the torque convertor on the automatice. The smaller hole to the right of that (has a plastic plug) is the one used for the barring tool.

    Congrats on your Cummins purchase. I suggest you buy a pyrometer and tweak on the pump for free. I agrre with rebel_horseman that the pipe going over the rear axle is smashed pretty good and would be nice to replace with 4" but it really depends on how much HP you want to add.

    CPS is used for Tach and alternator charging. As already mentioned - Check the Fuel Shutdown Solenoid. Improper adjustment will cause a no shutdown to cutting out if not opening all the way - - http://dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/troubleshooting/12v_fuel_solenoid.html

    I think all the boots and clamps (plumbing) is there.. Are you wanting the pipes that run to the exhaust manifolds as well? It might be cheaper for you to pick it up rather then me shipping it. I work in Wilsonville (7am-3pm) if that helps.

    A VE can go 500rwhp if you want it to. 300-350 seems pretty reasonable but the stock turbo will not get you there because the housings are to limited.

    $28 for a package of Cool-It insulation and my 92 f350 with 96 Cummins tuned to 260 RWHP has not been a problem with the turbo sitting very close to the AC box.

    Adapting IDI Tach

    I've seen this tach solution before and I believe it reads a little low if memory is correct. The tooth count on the cummins IP pump gear is a few less then the IP pump gear on the Ford so reads a little low. Good luck on your conversion....Sounds like your almost there.

    I hit the local parts house, picked up an elbow hose that fit the Cummins, an elbow end that fit the Ford radiator and put them together in the middle with an exhaust adapter and a couple clamps. Still working fine after 5 years. Drivelines for mine were to shorten the back, add to the front...

    91 dodge, not charging

    The ole mans 92 just did this but the alt was tested good and still no charge. Ended up being the Engine Speed Sensor not telling the PCM that it was running and therefore...no charge to the battery. Not sure if this pertains to the 91's or not.
