7.3 IDI hydrolocked
So my '89 7.3 IDI hydrolocked on cold start today after sitting for a few days. My plan is to pull glow plugs and see what's on them. The truck is being towed to where I work now. Should I try to start it to pull it inside? There's only a couple guys here to help push. Is a couple...- 8973

Big ol' paperweight
I need injection lines. In my search locally, I find an engine. Short $$$, and I can drive the truck before it's pulled. Well, being a motorhead, it makes perfect sense to me to buy a whole engine just for a few parts. LOL So my question is, if I were to buy this engine and just stuff it...- 8973

Injector line leak
So I just made it home from camping... barely. One of the injector lines sprung a leak right off the pump. All new Ford lines 4 years ago and rusted out :mad: I figured it out about 1/2 hour from home, but based on fuel usage it had been leaking longer than that. I didn't have much choice...- 8973

Towing RPMs
Curious what you guys like to run for RPMs towing. And for you ZF guys - are you towing in 5th gear? I've been told Ford did not recommend it.- 8973

Idle shudder
**UPDATE BELOW** Howdy. I have an 89 F-250 7.3 5 speed. 180k. Well maintained (additive, SCAs checked, all the good stuff I learned here). Pump has maybe 50k on, injectors unknown. Not sure on the fuel filter, but safe to say it's under 10k. I am getting a weird shudder at idle...- 8973
