been looking at the possibility of converting my 83 f250 6.9 over to running on vegetable oil. i live in canada so i need heated everything to get the consistancy of the vegetable oil up to that of diesel fuel. probably going to cost over 2000 to convert, not counting labor. now diesel fuel up...
im in the hard wood business and have a trailor that i might beef up to haul 3 cords of hard wood. a cord weighs around 5000 lbs thats a total of 15000 lb. is that too much weight for a 1983 f250 6.9.not really worried about going slow but don't want to wreck my truck.
im new at this and not much of a mechanic i have a 1983 ford 6.9 diesel. does anyone know where i can get a duel tank fuel selector valve, not the switch? As well what are some simple and cheep ways to get more power. already drilled holes in my air filter casing and that seemed to help. thanks
