    Somewhere in the toolbox are the tools my Son made for his 300sd to turn up the pump. That thing was IMPRESSIVE, modded turbo, air to water ic. Much potential in those. I have a rebuilt head for one here if needed.

    The safe bet is to NEVER remove the original freeze plugs. Every machine shop does it. They are stainless, they dont rot, and MANY times the aftermarkets can fail if not installed properly.     One of the new ones I installed one time bolted on at Saturday funny angle but the master cylinder turned and it's Mount straight up I don't remember what brand it was. For what it's worth I have a steel braided line kit for the clutch assembly also.
