Smoked AC compressor
The compressor was too hot to touch, like smoking, and it hadn't really been putting out air that was very cold lately. It doesn't get driven much lately and I just figured that it needed a recharge.- LowTech

Seems like I smoked the compressor. It was very hot, smelled bad, and today when I turn the inside part of the pulley it feels a bit grity and I'm getting some black dust falling out when I turn it. So, the question. Will I still be able to run it w/o using the AC, or am I down till I can get...- LowTech

Don't have it w/ me at the moment, it's getting painted. When I first got it we had a speed senser put in, and when it started this on the trip the first thing I did was to stick my hand up behind the cluster . . . no cable :rolleyes: I'm used to older rigs. Did some searching and found nothing that matched. I have a speedo that pegs as soon as I start to move. It's a `92 w/ a `93 7.3. Not really sure where to start checking. It's not always been that way, started on our trip bringing it from the east coast. Thanks for any input.- LowTech

Anyone familiar with a TELMA electric brake
We have one on our Free Wheelin' Camper, it came that way. Have really liked it for stopping. It starts when the brake lights activate. Have often stopped w/o even getting to the friction brakes. It helped loads crossing the mountains on our recent trip to transport the camper out west to it's...- LowTech
