Wouldnt be a bad idea considering the age of some of our trucks and god only knows what a previous owner had installed or taken out over the years.first thing i do when i buy something is go through the wiring.there are alot of hacks out there.even some of the wiring jobs ive seen on our members...
I tried using seats and console from a bronco and extended cab in my reg cab, wasnt fun sitting sideways while driving.
I have 40/20/40 front and rear in my crew cab.both came out of regular cabs
Crew cab and regular cab seats interchange with no issue, crews can swap front to rear
.bronco and extended cabs use a different floor.modifications are needed to swap seats from bronco/excab into a reg/crew cab
Never heard of or seen one crack a flywheel.wouldnt be that loud.would be more a creak, crackling or ticking noise.not a pop
These motors break exhaust manifold bolts and they dont use manifold gaskets.if you find a leak at the manifold fel pro makes gaskets for it and id recomend using them...
Since youre here.you should check out our sister site, www.superdutydiesel.com
Go to radio shack and get a pack of 10k ohm resistors.on the front of drivers side head behind the ac compressoris the ICP sensor,3wire plug, unplug it.look at the end of the plug, looks like 2 eyes and a nose.put...
Dash gauges work the same as they always did.dash gauges are fine.pcm has its own sensors for engine vitals.you only need egt, trans temp, and boost.pcm only reads boost, still need to drill and tap exhaust for thermocouple, and need trans sensor with programmer or guages.
Exhaust leaks are hard to hear over an idling diesel unless its a huge leak.look around all areas of the sytem for sooting of the up pipes, block, heads and turbo.diesels ate easy to find exhaust leaks on,they pretty much point them right out.
Go into the tech articles and read the 10k mod.might be all youre looking for since its a dump and you dont plan on any fuel upgrades.costs a dollar
.modded idm will also help,if you dont know how to solder, dont mess with your idm.myself and maybe a couple other guys here can do it for you.
Programer still needs all the same drilling.tapping and adapters as gauges.youl get much more bang for your buck from a custom chip for less money.
Pillar gauges are way cooler looking than a pregnant dash
Ditch the complete exhaust.the only backpressure you want is before the turbo.the best exhaust you can run is absolutely nothing after the turbo.the faster you get the exhaust out of the turbine the cooler your egts eill be,turbo will spool quicker as well.
Stay away from programmers.94.5-97...
Sounds like exhaust leak.a bad injector will make knocky noise at idle and cruise, noise will go away when you get on the throttle.unless its a REALLY bad injector.
One of three things happened, broke the center pin in the spring, bent the ttb arm or bent the frame.
Look at spring, did ttb arm slide back?youd know just by looking at it.if yes, broken centet pin.if no,take it to a frame shop
As long as its a diesel, same tranny and some options they should have the same wiring.ford used to use diffent harnesses with certain options but i theyve stopped doing that,GM does it now.
If you can solder, fix it.i melted the whole harness where it runs over the cluster in my 94.i Fixed...
Maybe the correct wiring harness as well.
You may need to play withprogramming. Pushing water is completely different from moving on land.run a ford ecm and im sure one of the many programmer guys can burn you a chip for it.
You wont need to mess with programming.you will need to figure out a throttle as the psd is fly by wire with a tps and throttle on/off switch on the pedal
You NEED cps.icp,ipr.
It will run without the tranny sensors, oil and water temp, oil pressure, exhaust back pressure.
For the wiring, idm and ecm look into getting it from an international truck
