    Water in oil

The two rear cylinders are typically the ones that cavitate. Sounds like you need some sleeves installed.

    Coolant

You're supposed to use a green low silicate antifreeze then add SCAs. I use Zerex low silicate green. If I'm not mistaken DCA4 is the best as it has the molybdenum and nitrate combined which gives you the best cavitation protection. VC8 only seem so have the nitrate in it based on my last go...

    E350 front door removal/replacement

Why are you replacing the door? I would think you'd just need to take the old door off and compare it to what you have and then figure how to move everything over.

    Water in oil

Pull the bottom end off and put the heads on and fill the cooling system with water and pressurize. If it's cavitation you'll see it squirting through the cylinder wall.

Losing coolant from what looks like behind the flywheel.

You can just buy a new fitting at home depot, its just NPT to barb.

    Van Radiator Question

well, post 1992 im pretty sure, pre 92 maybe not. The pictures your posted, it looks like that van one is a crappy knockoff 1 row. All I know for sure is the 92 F series rad I got fit in my 92 van.

Losing coolant from what looks like behind the flywheel.

I'm working on this right now. You need a new water pump. To hold the pulley you can wedge a large screw driver between one of the pulley bolts and the water pump shaft. Either that or you get the Ford fan clutch removal tool. Either way, that bastard is on there pretty tight. I had to get...

    Van Radiator Question

The E series IDI and the F series IDI use the same radiators. The PS is similar I believe but don't know 100% on that. In my van, i have the 5 row aluminum radiator for an F-350 and everything bolted up fine except the shroud, i had to modify that slightly.

    Power Steering Line Leak

Probably should take the fitting lose, inspect it, make sure it's not somehow boogered up. If it looks good, put it back on and tighten the crap out of it. I bet if you get a small torque amplifier on there you can get another half a turn out of it. I had uninstalled/reinstalled these lines...

Changing water pump need some knowledge

Maybe. The thought had crossed my mind. It might work but not sure. I'm betting it will still have a little bit of a kink to it.

Changing water pump need some knowledge

I've been studying the old one and the new one I have. I'm wondering if ford either changed the design slightly or gave people bad specs. The hoses have the same general shape however the different spans on it are the wrong lengths so it ends up being way too long and then kinks. Maybe i'll...

    Odd E4OD issue towing

If i'm not mistaken, i think there are voltage regulators that can begin to fail on the PSOM which would probably cause this. The problem is in the dash.

Changing water pump need some knowledge

Okay, I'm changing the water pump on the E-350. I decided to go ahead and change the thermostat too. I have everything pulled and I forget how the little ball bearing is supposed to work in the thermostat outlet housing thing. It was all crudded up and couldn't move. So i scraped it all out...

6.9 engine harness meltdown 85 E350 really bad situation

The older body style gives you alot more room in the cab than me it looks like. To original poster, yeah, just power to fuel shut off solenoid and you’re good to go. Also, ether is really bad for diesels man. That’s how you crack a piston... 22 to 1 compression and them a big BOOM before TDC.

    92 glow plug fuse?

Maybe I’m misunderstanding you... but the glow plug relay is just a glorified starter solenoid. It doesn’t take 8-30 amps to power the relay coils. I have a little micro switch powering mine...

    Radiator addictive?

Well, it being green is a good sign, but still without knowing exactly what they put in its hard to tell you exactly what to do. If they put in low silicate antifreeze then you’re good, just add ford SCA, VC-8. If they put in normal high silicate antifreeze and you add SCA then it will...

    92 glow plug fuse?

Manual control system is by far the test way I think. I've had zero problems for 10 years now with it. Albeit it's not super cold in Florida all the time, but I've had it cold soaked in about 35 degree weather for about 3 days and all went well. Basically just burn the plugs for about 8...

what color is your antifreeze currently? did they top it off with the same color? or did they flush out all the old and put in new?

    93 E350 7.3 idi battery killer

Well... tell that to Ford back in the 80s... later on they ended up putting them under the van on the frame rails somewhere to make room for the 6.0L intercooler and stuff. I guess that solved the issue.

I want to finally get Gear Vendors unit, have questions though.

I've got a manual lockup switch rigged up to the TC lockup. Generally, you can kinda tell when it doesn't like being locked up, such as when you drop the engine RPM too low or bog it down to much, it kinda starts sounding like it's grinding... which it probably is. I don't know how the TC...
