    Found 2 of these behind my seat while looking for my build sheet. Did these come with the trucks back then and any body still have these? Apparently seat belts on the 80’s models weren’t long enough for those of us who are well nourished, ha ha!!

    Psd oil filter ok?

    It will work, but if you can I’d get the Motorcraft FL1995 (PSD Filter) V.S. the Fram. It gives you more filter media, better internal construction and an extra quart of oil (11qt total). It’s also $10 at Walmart

    That’s the truth!! ^^^ They were built better (more forgiving) back then, how many new ones get that kinda mileage? This is a little off topic but I’m sure some of you have had those experiences when fueling (and usually adding 2cycle oil or ATF to the tanks) where somebody with a newer truck...

    Thanks! Hard to kill those old Warns, or trucks for that matter and had been wanting to weigh my truck for a while as I figured she was closer to 7,000lbs...guess I have more room to add an auxiliary fuel tank or a toolbox now.

    Engine is strong and hasn't given me any issues. Earlier I tried that and their wasn't any blow by at idle through the oil fill neck, I'll try it while increasing the rpm manually tomorrow. Thanks!!

    I've read a lot about them but haven't seen to many pictures showing what a good used one looks like. Wasn't sure if I was being to over cautious by replacing that one. Small investment to make considering the consequences of a faulty CDR.

    After installing a new cowl to hood seal I Pulled off my air cleaner assembly to have a look at the CDR valve. There was no evidence of water in the oil and the air cleaner isn't caked in oil either. Although there is a slight bit of oil on the air cleaner bolt. Is this what they're supposed...

    Considering the $$$ you're likely to have to put into it over the next year or so (probably 3k-5k)...maybe; tires, injectors, IP and that front likely needs some attention...it will take money, skill and time that would be better invested in a different truck. There are decent ones out there...
