    Shackle eye welded?

Been fighting this rear shackle trying to drive new bushings in. Found the eye has been welded shut. Is there any chance this is factory? Seems unlikely to me. If so any tips on getting bushings to fit well enough to mount to the hanger? Thanks in advance

Over the last couple weeks progress has been made! Pulled donor leaf sprints off a buddies truck in the snow. Froze our butts off. Got the pass side tore apart and discovered the bushings O'Reilly's had listed were wrong. :backoffSo now I've got a set of Energy's due in a week from Amazon...

    afFORDable build

Hello all, wanted to start a build thread for my 85 6.9 super cab. I won't be able to actually make any forward progress till school gets over in December but I wanted to lay out previous modifications, and long term plans. Unfortunately I got hit on the passenger side rear tire in September...

    New to me 93

Picked up a project! No motor or tranny. Originally idit e40d. Plan to possibly put my spare idi in it. Eventually may do a 12 valve or a dt series swap. Current question. No key. And steering is locked. But I can spin the little piece the key plugs into freely. Swap out the ignition cylinder?

    collison aftermath

I jacked it up Saturday amd looked at it with some buddies. I dunno if I just remembered wrong or what but the wheels spin opposite of each other and spin smoothly. So now in my spare time..... I'll start tearing it down.

    collison aftermath

I would be really surprised if it was posi-tracked. Pleasantly surprised for Sure! spinning it felt normal. I've got some buddies coming over tonight to grip me take a look. Wife wants a second opinion on whether the frame is actually straight. Shes seen how some of my projects go lol

    collison aftermath

I jacked it up a couple days ago. The wheels still turn and the driveshaft turns. If i remember correctly the wheels turned the same way as each other. This is what has me concerned. With the open diff they should turn different directions correct?

I am fine thank you for the concern. I am leaning towards fixing it. Just dont want to put a ton of work into it only to find the axles bad

    collison aftermath

Hello all, Had the misfortune of catching a nissan sentra with my rear passenger wheel. Frame is straight, every suspension component is busted. Debating on how worthwhile it is to fix(super cab 85 6.9) The kicker will probably be if my axle's still good or not. Any way to tell without...

    4X4 Manual hubs or automatic?

Always go with Manuel....he knows whats up. Hubs, tranny, windows, locks.....manuel is reliable and rugged. No electronic bull shit when you cant afford to be let down.
