I have both harnesses, most of the stuff plugs in no problem. And 99% of any splicing has been done. The only gauge in the dash not working is oil pressure but I'm not sure if it's the gauge or it's not hooked up. Then there's the speedo that I believe runs off the rear end with the e40d but...- morgankshaw

I'm taking it to a professional welder tomorrow. I'm sure he will know what to do. I'll try to prep it clean for him too. He's busy so I have him a month to fix it. But don't worry I'll still be making progress as the tranny in it does function enough to move the truck around. So for now next...- morgankshaw

Well I hope this isn't a huge problem but I found a crack in the bell housing. I found a guy that says he should be able to weld it for me but he still hasn't seen it in person yet. I'm optimistic that he can repair it he quoted me $150. Any idea what I should ask for my old e4od when I sell...- morgankshaw

More progress today. Removed the old camper shell and I can now get into the garage. [emoji2] I changed the oil and spoke with my buddy and sorted a few mysteries. I'm getting all the parts for hydroboost this week along with a 5 speed trans and all the goodies to make the conversion...- morgankshaw

Been under the hood and yanking bad wires all day. Replaced the failed ignition switch and the whole dash works. Only thing I can't do is actually start the truck from inside the cab. I think I have the correct wire to fire the starter relay but no power to it. Meanwhile I found this...- morgankshaw

ZF-5 Maintenance before swap?
I'd go ahead and replace the throw out bearing and the clutch it's not that expensive and it's already out. Might as well change the oil while you're at it. What's an smf conversion? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- morgankshaw

Well today I put on new radiator hoses heater hoses and belts. Also changed the fuel filter. I figured out why the heater core was bypassed...... gotta change that too. Still sorting out the mysterious wiring and removing remnants of an old alarm system and bad trailer wiring. Sent from my...- morgankshaw
