E4od swap in a 6.9
Talking to a person on CL with one for sale and im wondering if this is possible? I have a c6 and am trying to get better highway gears. I will be pulling the motor for headstuds so this will be a good time! any help is appreciated- Buffetkiller

Told you guys this was going to be slow. Just ordered studs the other night. Now I need to know where everyone is getting a complete engine gasket kit? I would like to seal as much things as I possibly can while I have the motor out- Buffetkiller

Fuse panel cooked
What options do i have to replace the fuse panel under the dash? Its real burnt and my blower motor quits so i have to wiggle the fuse... i have noticed that its all hardwired from the back so it would be difficult to put a new one in. Wondering what you guys have done.- Buffetkiller

Oh yes. Rust free for sure i do live in washington state so we see rust alot too. Also it came from Aberdeen wa which is right on the ocean so i guess you could say its a survivor... except for my ebrake line...- Buffetkiller

I wanna keep all my questions in this thread... having a ebrake failure. Its stretched out all the way. What part of the cable stretches? The replacement that i cant find is after the tensioner and was wondering if those cables were the ones i need. BTW heads are refreshed. I just got them...- Buffetkiller

Lift is 6"ish? and tire size is 37x13.5r22 Ya you guys are right ill just wait and refresh this motor I have out then drop it in. I was just weighing my options, its been running good since the day I got it so it should hold. still awaiting on R n Ds response as to when he can check out the...- Buffetkiller

Got ya. I feel that way a little bit also when i see orange rtv but on this one it looks as though they had done a nice clean job. Found out yesterday that the motor currently in my truck has blown headgaskets:) probly a better case of blown headgaskets(if there is one) no water in my oil. Just...- Buffetkiller

Very hard to keep up with questions lol bare with me. Also responses are showing up after i refresh so it looks like i am blatantly ignoring some of you. Goo on injectors is in fact lots of antiseize. I know the PO it was his highschool truck the truck was beat other than the front dana 60...- Buffetkiller

Piston cooling jets....? Sorry if this is easy stuff haha. My only experience with motor stuff is rebuilding two stroke dirtbikes(top and bottom) and they held Together so im pretty confident!- Buffetkiller

Well then. Good to know. Intercooler is needed huh? How far should i go into this thing if im doing all this? If the motor turns over smooth i can assume the low end bearings are in good shape right? And looks like you have new pistons should i do those along with the rings too? Not really...- Buffetkiller

Wow i really came off at the start of this project like i was gonna hit it hard... oh well life gets in the way. today i was able to tear into it more. Pulled the IP, pulled the intake and the valley pan. Pulled injectors(which looked very nice to my untrained eye) and GP. Picked the valve...- Buffetkiller
