    2017 Texas IDI Meet

I would also call the park ranger and see if they can block a section off with the paid reservations. That way everyone will be together instead of spread all over the park.

    2017 Texas IDI Meet

A word of caution about inks Lake State Park, it is one of the busiest State Parks we have. If you want to get spots next to each other, it will have to be worked out well in advance. As it is with all state parks, it is first come, first served on spots. They have blocked off sections in the...

    Look at this!

Here is a much better one, if it were 4WD I would be calling to make a deal. Sadly it doesn't have the VCR in the back. https://dallas.craigslist.org/mdf/cto/d/ford-diesel/6233730718.html

    1994 body on a 2010 frame?

I have been following it, it may be the best solution.

I have them, first thing I did.

    1994 body on a 2010 frame?

At 375k miles I am certain the stock front leafs are in need of a change.

    1994 body on a 2010 frame?

I have seen those, great for the rear but it is the front that is the main problem. I know they will help but the front is almost like there are no springs, very harsh and jolting.

    1994 body on a 2010 frame?

Mind is made up, not worth it. I have too many projects currently. I am looking for a better ride quality, the stock setup is beating me up. My stock frame is perfect, maybe I should look into spring changes instead. I appreciate the collective wisdom.

    1994 body on a 2010 frame?

I have found a 2010 F250 4wd frame with axles, is it feasible to put my 1994 body and drivetrain on it? Would I gain a better ride? I am assuming it will not be a direct bolt on, but would it be worth doing? Frame has not been in a wreck and is complete. My initial thought is it won't be...

    Slot mags 1980-86

Perhaps so, but I have the caps already and it gives it a finished look, not that I really care, but I have the caps. I don't really remember what snow is like, there was a trace amount the last time I was in Cloudcroft but it was slush and only in the shadows.

What is this part called??? Oil pressure sender port crack.

This goes without saying, but make sure you close that crack up before welding it.

Did you tell her that a GMC is a GM truck?

    2015 GMC Dually Diesel

The LML has been a fairly decent engine but like all of the newer diesels it is loaded down with emissions junk. The biggest hurdle with the newer diesels is maintenance and keeping up with it, and the expense. The price may be a little high but that may be because of where she is. My best...

What would YOU do? Just curious

I would keep them both, drive the Chevy and fix the Ford, but my wife and I have a vehicle problem, six of them for just the two of us. The way I see it, the Ford is a gamble for daily driver duty, it sat a very long time and that degrades vehicles. No big deal if you go ahead and replace all...

    Flashback Friday, my first IDI.

The Beast, it never leaves the farm and is pretty much just the water truck these days.

    BUYING IDI V2

Check the glow plugs, it looks like he has the block heater on, that will help it start but could indicate glow plug issues.

    Severe coolant flush how to

I believe he is doing the radiator only, not letting the Muriatic cycle through the whole cooling system.

    BUYING A 7.3 IDI

I hate to say "buy it" but there is no better learning experience than spending every cent you can get to keep a vehicle running and safe. It is a brutal lesson but one you will keep for the rest of your life. I know this because I have been there, more than once. My kids are older than you...

    Usable tire size

The wife has had two Tahoes, a 2009 LTZ 4x4 with 17" wheels and a 2013 LT 2wd with 20's, the 4wd drive rode so much better than the 2wd, because of the large wheels IMO. It looked better too.

    Usable tire size

I have to agree with avoiding the wagon wheel look. I admit I am getting up there in years but I am far from a curmudgeon, I still listen to heavy metal, :D I have seen a lot of fads and trends come and go, the wagon wheel look needs to go away.

    Engine cleaning tips??

I use a product called Fast 505, it is strong, very strong, but it cuts the really old and dried out greasy grime. I tried Simple Green, it had no effect but the Fast 505 went right through it. The front of my undercarriage is coated with oil, diesel and held together with dirt, I bought a...

    Tire and wheel options

The 245/75/16 is puny. I have them on my Chevy and they look too small. I think I have a pic of them, I will see if I can find it if you want.

86 F250 6.9L remote mount turbo and truck build...

Shades of STS, or what was once Squires Turbo Systems. Remote mounted turbos are not new and they do work well if matched properly. I will enjoy watching you do this task.
