Nope....the brick is definitely longer. A brick uses extension brackets on the bumper...where the bullnose bumper bolts directly to the face of the frame rails.

Well today was productive... After a disappointing soccer game I came home...put a second coat of Spackle on my bathroom and started tearing into the truck.
Pulled both fenders...managed to drop the hood on my head...no sense was knocked in or out...just stars....many many stars...
Not much to tell as of late... Got the gooseneck plate off the frame and torched off some misc brackets that I think went to a fifth wheel hitch.
Today I pulled the wiring harness back to the cab and pulled the front fuel tank out in prep for frame and fuel tank painting.

one way you can test if the firewall flex is your issue without buying my plate right away is take a WOODEN broom handle and cut it so the force of the firewall flex is transmitted to the rad support. this will at least help you eliminate one area without spending money.... now if you want it...
if it helps im in indiana also and i did this to mine... i spent the money to get the downpipes from banks to go with my kit. had the cash and didnt have the time to make my own. i used DEI header wrap and i soaked then in a can and a half of their high temp silicone spray that they recommend...
i know what the TOB sounds like.....thats noisy too....but you can hear it in the gearbox also. my trans has 200k on it when i got it and was in a farm truck that was well used...its time..

mine whines pretty bad...its fine going the 2 1/2 miles to work and back but any farther and its awful loud pretty quick...figure ill try and take care of it before it eats itself for lunch
