    Gauge install advice needed.

I am about to install a 3 gauge pod with Boost, Water Temp and Pyro, the boost is easy as the 94 has a port in the intake hat, or snail shell. The water temp is hidden to me but I believe there is a port on top of the intake or block for the normal water temp sensor, I should be able to tap...

Awesome trip for you and the family.

    New member, old trucks.

I ran to O'Reileys and picked up a cheap replacement for now, it was ten bucks.

    New member, old trucks.

Reviving this, just to keep everything easier to find. Got the replacement shock for the rear and got them installed. I still have to get the fronts in. I have a new minor issue, sending unit on turbo, leaking like crazy. Is there anything special about these or will one from Napa do the...

    Correct Bilstein Shocks

Figured out, the wrong shock is in the box, the other box for the rear has the correct shock in the box. So I have 3 fronts and one rear, but the boxes are labeled for what I ordered. I will get the replacement ASAP.

New Bilstein, it doesn't come out easily. Old shock

    Correct Bilstein Shocks

I am getting around to replacing my shocks, I went with Bilstein 4600's and got the (supposedly) correct part numbers from BilsteinUS. I started on the rear since the bed is off and they are easy to get to. Took the first one off, looks like an original shock, and noticed the Bilstein has a...

    Fuel Tank Fun!

A few pics since it finally stopped raining. It isn't in the way of anything, I can remove alternator and bracket without trouble or need in removing the pump.

    Fuel Tank Fun!

Very stout, no real interference with the possible exception of the alternator, but I will know that in a few days. Fortunately it is easy to move, bolts are stainless steel so no corrosion issues.

    Fuel Tank Fun!

A few pics. I am not proud of it, but it is stable and solid. I had wanted to mount it on the inner fender but that is all plastic, not a very stable platform. Semi clean valve covers. They were so coated you could only see gray in a couple places.

I used Kano Labs Flow Away, it works brilliantly.

    Fuel Tank Fun!

I have it done, yes the large rectangular grommet is there but I used the fuel heater line which is of ample size and right where I needed it to be. I buttoned everything up, installed the Painless relay kit, super easy, primed the system and after about three, 15 second bumps of the starter...

    Fuel Tank Fun!

Thanks, I will check that one out in the morning. I did find a long grommet, couldn't see it from the steps tool, but did from the ground. One drawback to these high vehicles is visibility in the engine compartment, I have the same problem with the Chevy, maybe I am getting shorter as I get...

    Fuel Tank Fun!

Thanks, I will dig around some more in the morning and see if I can find a pass through in the firewall. I know there has to be one, I just have to find it.

    Fuel Tank Fun!

It has been a fun week, I found more reasons to poke the Ford engineers in the face, but it is over with and done now. Tanks are clean, inline fuel filters just after each tank, new fuel selector valve in place, (bit the bullet and got the OEM, it just made things easier and I found it for...

    Fuel Tank Fun!

Yeah, I do plan on putting one after each tank, just the little inline types.

    Fuel Tank Fun!

That's what I was getting. I have been using photo bucket since about 2001, rarely has there been an issue that didn't get resolved quickly.

    Fuel Tank Fun!

I found it, but all of the photos are coming up as a bad link, it looks like it should be page 22? I don't mind the new one, I am saving the old one to tinker with. I have been rebuilding things since the early 70's, so this shouldn't be too hard. It will end up as a spare. I took enough...

    Fuel Tank Fun!

I spent the afternoon cleaning the tanks and pulling the fuel selector out. I would like to find the engineer who designed this fuel system and punch him in the face. There is no reason to put that selector where they did, a foot forward would have made so much more sense. It would be next to...

    Fuel Tank Fun!

Hagus! I love it, I could not get away with that even in jest, and she is of Scottish descent too. I am pretty sure the fuel senders are ok, but since I have it open they are not that expensive. Al, I may go to the 38 gallon tank since I have to drop both of these to get the disintegrated...

    Fuel Tank Fun!

Thanks, I already have the showerheads and I did find that Pollack makes the switching valve, and that the generic ones is the same except for the connectors. I am reading your thread now. I discussed this project with the Ways and Means Committee yesterday, she decided it would be best to...

    Fuel Tank Fun!

I took yesterday off from building our house to pull the bed off of the 94. It has fuel and or air issues. I figured the shower heads were off and that is what the issue was, as well as maybe sending units as the tanks show almost full when it runs out of fuel. I figured the vents need help...

    Texas members show of hands!

Northwest of Austin but it is time to do the tanks and pump. I need a break from house building. These 52 year old knees are screaming for a break.

    Texas members show of hands!

I love a good install party, but S/A is about 2.5 hours away and hopefully I will at least have the tanks and sending units and Facet pump installed in the next month or so.

    Texas members show of hands!

This is an awesome idea. Depending on the actual date I may be able to make it, but with building a house by myself I haven't had time to work on the truck. I have the backseat crammed full of parts just no time to install them.
