I did, but then realized I have what I need from your drip rail measurement already! PS when we are talking abotu cutting the roof at the drip rail, should I cut it on the roof side or the Pillar side? Im thinking to do it on the roof side, but then how far in? My lines haves to be perfectly...

    Runaway Diesels Do's And Don'ts

With a turbo engine, make sure you dont have a leaky oil seal on the cold side. If the seal blows and you leak oil into the cold side it will send it into your engine at an unmetered rate, the engine will eat itself alive.

    Best starter?

I have no issues with the Mitsu one. Higher CCA batteries would be best for me. I see you ahve the group 31s. what is the CCA and reserve capacity on them? I got some costco stock replacement units, 850 CCA i think, would really like 1000 though, but those were 2x the money.

    single or dual steering dampners

I run a single monroe cheapo special on the SD frame, which started leaking a few months after being installed. That beign said, it would probably be ok for factory sized tires but doing medium speed over rough terrairn, with the 37s Id go with either a) a better quality and higher valved...

    Custom Battery Cable Setup

I was looking at a gauge chart. My local store at the time only had up to 2/0 welding cable and I wanted 3/0 to the starter. You can get 4/0 equivelant with 2x 2/0 run in parallel, so that is what I did. Not cranking problems. Just more cables to make and run

    Runaway Diesels Do's And Don'ts

Runaway is too always on my mind. Best way for me is to have a 4" diameter plate that woudl slide over the turbo inlet that would eb connected to a handle inside you coudl jsut slam forward and close the air supply. DUmping it in 3rd or 4th could work but Im worried about damaging the trans...

cutting at the drip rail is out of the question for me, i dont have the entire roof of the donor to work with, and well, my roof is all mangled anyhow. However..maybe it would be easier if i cut the donor up in 2, basicaly seperate the roof skin fro the door pillars, and reattach the roof...

i will have my buddy with me when doing this and the entire section will be supported by the crane to hold it into position. Yes I do plan on doing it right down to the rocker. then you have a nice straight line to up along with. My custom floor is welded to the stock rock panel, so basicaly I...

i was thinking what would probably help too, if is i pull with the farm jack on the A pillar, AND push from the inside witha portapower...but that means spending 120 bucks on a portapower. Still looking around. Im hoping to get the truck into position this weekend between the trees to see what...

    Facet Gold Flo thoughts

yes from what i gathered about the facets they are puller pumps. mounted on top of the reefer unit on a trailer/straight truck and pullign fuel from the under bed tank. mine pulled the fuel abotu 1' high and 16 feet from the back tank no problem in a dry unprimed system.

thanks for the input junk. yes the B pilalr itself is relatively untouched, i came in on an angle and the tree basically crushed in the very top roof part. my worst concern is windshield area/a pillar. Like I mentioned earlier the firewall got pushed outtowards the front as the upper part...

Realistic budget of a 2wd -4wd and goodies build

Crash- a 2 or 3 point pull would be ideal. I have 2 come alongs and one hi lift 60" jack the jack would go top of the B pillar for a linear pull, and ideally have a tree that is infront of the A pillar, set up the come along to that tree to pull it out at a 45 degree or so, pull it forward...
