Blinkers/Hazard lights & reverse lights not working

I have a manual tranny. In some ways I wish it would just fix itself but I also want to figure it out so it doesn't happen again - I think the wiring on this thing is quite past stock. Tested the signal flasher on the front and it had continuity (.5) and tried the hazards while I had the fuse...

Blinkers/Hazard lights & reverse lights not working

Update, the hazards do work but the blinkers don't, just checked in the parking lot at work (sorry I was driving earlier and it was raining). My guess would be the relay switch in the column? I'm now wondering if the reverse lights being out is a coincidence.

Blinkers/Hazard lights & reverse lights not working

My blinkers/hazards & reverse lights aren't working anymore. I'm assuming they must be on the same fuse. Does anyone have any insight on this? Thank you!

    Blue Devil Sealer, now what?

Good to know. A lot of us on here are perfectionists or rather purists which I appreciate but sometimes things aren't perfect and you have to be practical. The mechanic who suggested it and used it is very old school and bleeds diesel.

    Blue Devil Sealer, now what?

Thats what I was unsure of, he mentioned it on the phone but I don't remember exactly what he said. If you're doing the heads you're changing the coolant anyways. Sounded like he was concerned it could get into some of the cylinders or something? Never met the guy before and he came...

    Blue Devil Sealer, now what?

^Haha. I'm going about 1 year strong. Maybe they didn't use it and just charged me for it but instead used some old school mechanic sorcery

    Blue Devil Sealer, now what?

Awhile back I had a decent leak on the head gaskets of my engine, enough that on the way to the mechanic by my parents house coolant was squirting out. The mechanic was trying to save me money and was also maybe a little too busy and suggested blue devil stop leak. My radiator was new so I...

    Parking Brake/E-Brake needs adjustment

Question about brake shoe replacement… it took awhile for the hub tool to come so I went ahead and replaced the shoes. I kept the old springs and reassembled. Is there anything else I should do after replacing the shoe? I spun that geared wheel out a few clicks and turned the tire with the...

    Parking Brake/E-Brake needs adjustment

I'm picking up a new scotseal and new riveted brake shoes from Napa today. Will report back!

    Parking Brake/E-Brake needs adjustment

This means I need to remove all the bearings and races? If the bearings are in fine shape I just need the hub oil seals?

    Parking Brake/E-Brake needs adjustment

Is it possible I only need to replace the seal on the axle? You can see it here:

    Parking Brake/E-Brake needs adjustment

Pulling the axle shaft then requires re-packing bearings etc correct? Like most things I have zero previous experience doing this. Only replaced newer trucks CV axles that are pretty simple. This seems like the thread to follow...

    Parking Brake/E-Brake needs adjustment

Happy New Year everyone... thank you for all of your advice this past year. Yesterday I got into the rear drums. Passenger side looked ok but drivers side had gear oil in it. When I used the steel brush to clean the rust/residue off the shoes it just ate away at the shoe. I'm guessing thats...

    Parking Brake/E-Brake needs adjustment

I think the whole thing needs a brake job but I'm renting the truck on a photoshoot tomorrow and the parking brake is not reliable. I probably won't mess with it tonight and I'll just bring a wheel chalk in case I need to stop on a hill

    Parking Brake/E-Brake needs adjustment

How many clicks do you usually do on these adjustments? Flicking it up tightens right? I found a video:

    Parking Brake/E-Brake needs adjustment

Can I just make a quick but dirty fix by leaving it on the ground and popping the rubber gasket off and flicking it up a few times? I need to use the truck tomorrow and don't have time to jack it up and put it on stands etc. right now.

    What is leaking?

It's not the color of the coolant which I know can be hard to distinguish in isolated small amounts like this. I run final charge that also has UV dye (green) mixed into it because I once tried to track down leaking coolant. Must just be water? If it is the heater core leaking what would...

    What is leaking?

Thanks for the reply. I figured it was something AC related. I was running the defrost this morning with the temp in the middle. The AC doesn't work but figured maybe it was water or fluid from that. The little puddle down below hasn't evaporated yet which is surprising so I figured there...

    What is leaking?

I've got a clear liquid that is leaking from this box near the dipstick on the passenger side of the engine. What is this box? What could be leaking? Is that radiator in the front of the engine radiator an oil cooler or is that for the AC? Whatever the box is its got a hose that runs from...

    Parking Brake/E-Brake needs adjustment

Hello, My parking brake/e brake (not sure which is technically correct name) needs to be adjusted/fixed. The brake barely works anymore. Admittedly, I've left the brake engaged a few times and driven off. Most recently I drove at least 5 minutes before realizing it. While this makes the...

    Radiator Issues

Longevity I’m not sure. Honestly so far the radiator has been fine but I haven’t tested it under hot conditions yet for extended periods of time. Admittedly I’m also still running the stock gauge so… useless. Sorry I can’t be of more help.

    Installing cab clearance lights

Alright, cab lights installed! The LMC kit came with those little plastic things that you can fold over two wires to complete the connection so that made putting the harness together easy. I used an extra one to tie the red harness into one of the brown wires that is down below the kick...

    Replacing head gaskets, what else?

I'll have to remove one plug at a time at least. You need to do so to attach the leak down tester. I just cant seem to find anywhere where it tells me exactly how to rotate the engine manually.

    Replacing head gaskets, what else?

Pass side is definitely more time consuming but removed it and everything looked fine. I found one of those little tabs that are on the gasket in there and it wasn't from the current gasket. Obviously a sign that someone has removed the valve covers and replaced the gaskets at some point...

    Replacing head gaskets, what else?

Thats what I'm thinking. Rear glow plug on the pass side didn't slide in so easily which was strange... maybe some kind of swelling in there? I took the drivers side valve cover off just to inspect and turned the engine on. Everything was nicely lubricated and running. Pass side seems like a...
