    If I am not mistaken there are three temp switches, the one we are talking about activates the cold high idle solenoid and shuts it off once the engine reach 100 and something. The others give you your temp readings in the cab and let you know when your gana have a melt down.

    I don't see any leaks coming from the lines, I can see fuel around the threads. going to pull them tomorrow and try reseating them. when I bought the truck it only had two sets of clamps on it could having no clamps on some of the lines cause them to leak at the pump?.

    yes I believe I found it, wired in with my glow plug harness has a clip connector on top right next to some radiator tube. I will get a new one after I check it out tomorrow, replacing is just unscrewing and putting in a new one right? nothin special.

    is it normal to have two to three threads showing where the hard line attaches to the pump, everything is tight just looks weird with the thread exposed.

    Any one have the right torque specs for the drain and fill plugs for a zf-5, and transfer case i thought i heard 25-30lbs for both of them just not sure. Also are there any specs for front and rear diff bolts on the cover and plugs?.

    Turbo's are great but you can't drive them, you have plenty of time in life to put turbo's on all types of stuff. Biggest thing is tho short cuts usually end badly, my truck has been down for the rebuild for months in the end tho the wait is worth it knowing you have a solid truck.

    sounds like if i glue the gasket to the valve cover add a little to the head and bolts i should be good.

    i have come to learn my lessons with over tightening anything with a gasket, like large induction hardening filters with a couple hundred gallons of water behind them and only one place to go....all over me.
