    Low oil pressure after overhaul?

The power stroke oil coolers are very similar aren't they? I wonder if the springs and valve would interchange? Doesn't anyone have pics of one being rebuilt?

    Retorquing ARP head studs

Are the blocks really that weak? I see benefit in an aluminum block but these blocks seemed pretty solid to me. It was $22 for a 10 ounce bottle.... he could just mark them up to $580 and still sell them $30 less than summit, and be making $150 more than he is now. I think 150ft lb is...

    Retorquing ARP head studs

Did this go on both sides of the stud or just the nut side? Since there's a blind hole and the torque value isnt determined by the bottom hole torque. I'm all for doing what's right, i am still not sold on the engine girdle kit or piston shaving yet though haha.

    Low oil pressure after overhaul?

I thought mine was stuck open i see as low as 5psi hot idle, but i see 26-28psi cruising at 2000rpm coollant at 195-200f. I couldnt feel it open. And i am running a $140 autometer digital gauge so i have exact numbers. I had a glow shift before that was iffy when pressure got low. I am having a...

    Low oil pressure after overhaul?

You cant see the regulator being open you have to feel it with a pick, if you feel around with a pick itll make sense if its open. Heres some good info on it http://diezelcrazeesidipage.homestead.com/oilregulatingvalve1.html

    87 Crew Cab w/ 6 doors

Here's some information on them, for 1/4" male NPT on both side the part number would be SS-CHM4-5 if it's 1/8" it'd be SS-CHM2-5. this will crack at around 5psi, mine opens at 6psi. This keeps a constant 6psi on your injection pump constantly returns fuel above that, constantly bleeds air (just...

I just use a swagelock 5psi poppet valve that is tied into my injection feed line. It maintains 5 psi and returns the remainder. Goes below 5psi check valve closes. So it. Bleeds and and keeps consistant fuel pressure they are like $20. I ran mine to the fuel return line

Water/Air Intercooler Installed and true CAI (feel free to laugh at it)

Well I live in Delaware we have zero grades here. There's a video in this thread of egts with a 45 to 75mph pull in 5th gear basically lugging and over fuelling the engine at 7psi and egts got up to 1150. I'm really not sure what the best setup is, I'll gladly pay for and send the exact same...

Water/Air Intercooler Installed and true CAI (feel free to laugh at it)

I don't see how an Ata doesn't suffer heat soak at a greater rate. my water intercooler has a radiator the size of an intercooler up front plus two fans, so more ambient air pass through it than would be passing through an Ata, so as far as heat exchange is concerned should be able to reject...

Water/Air Intercooler Installed and true CAI (feel free to laugh at it)

I think air to air setups are far more prone to heat soak than a water setup. You're taking 6ft of piping each way through a 150F engine back, so all off that piping is going to just heat up, the heat transfer takes place up front so from there its heated up passing through the engine bay, where...

Water/Air Intercooler Installed and true CAI (feel free to laugh at it)

I drive it 100 to 200 miles per day. In 90f with ac on I can get post ic Temps to 135f 140f. I haven't towed anything big with it. No trailers over 5k. But I've towed them 70 miles loaded and really saw no difference in post ic Temps. Egts are maybe 500f towing 450f not towing I'm...

I second that aluminum tubing is no good for fuel lines. I use CuNiFer for hard lines, aluminum tubing seems to get brittle with time.

CDR oil through the turbo, good or bad?

I run mine through my compressor, hasnt hurt my wicked wheel in 10,000 miles but i did replace that because the factory orginal turbo was damaged from what i believe was pieces of carbon build up from the factory air box flaking off and going through it. I now have it in the straight 3" aluminum...

main 12V+ on alternator and glow plug controller- wiring routing.

8 gauge doesnt seem very heavy. I run 2 gauge plus the factory wire from my alternator but its a 250amp. But running to the starter shouldnt matter, that's a good idea to keep them i hidden.
