the shifter tube is a common failure part. I had to replace the one in my 92. The pot metal they are made of is garbage. Ford only part . Not hard to change.

That's it, they have been removed and are now in the garage. I will have to admit though, I haven't put in back in the mud since I took that pic. CC's have WAY too many places for mud to get backed into. :rotflmao
Only problem with filling the bed with snow is, when it starts to melt then refreeze, the blocks of snow are like bowling balls in the bed of the truck. BTDT, got the dents to prove it LOL
MEl, I just had to change out a high pressure fuel hose on m dads 97. Goes from the fuel reg. to the heads. It was leaking LOTS of fuel though. His was the one on the pass. side. Just a thought. Not sure if the X has the same set up though.

Michael, I think you about right with this new garbage we have to use for fuel. I used to pull down 16 with my truck going back and forth the work, now the best I can do is about 13.
