So what did you do with your truck today?

Two on tracks, one on tandems, too many on four wheels, then there's the little cement mixer, the welder, the garden, the firewood...

Trans oil cooler and bypass questions for van

Gross weight is just shy of 12,000 pounds, and I figure it'll never be way below that.

So what did you do with your truck today?

I thought I was in a bad way with my '94 project. I think it was only 5 years ago I lost momentum on that one.

Trans oil cooler and bypass questions for van

We have some long, hard climbs here, Thompson Pass is 2,600 feet in about 15 miles, for example. I'd like to be able to roar up out of there on a hot day with no worries.

Trans oil cooler and bypass questions for van

Definitely through the radiator, too! In winter the trans needs all the heat I can give it.

Trans oil cooler and bypass questions for van

Transmission temps on my ambulance hit 200F coming back toward Fairbanks. I'm thinking of replacing the current, small external oil cooler with a TruCool Max LPD4739, with a thermal bypass. Anyone have any recent experience with the TruCool coolers or their thermal bypass?

So what did you do with your truck today?

I really wish I could find one of those 3 speed brownies. Better yet, a two speed rear end that would work with an old ten lug superduty. The brownies are out there, like Bigfoot, but I don't know that they ever made a 2 speed rear end for light trucks.

89 7.3 do with transmission issue

Sounds as if maybe you lost power to the transmission controller? Any one know what fuse to check? I think Ford called that the PCM?

    Cup holders

That one looks kinda blocky. Edited to add: we've been using a cardboard box between the seats in the ambulance.

A 460 with 4.10 rear end? You'll be able to pass anything but a gas station.

IDI return line caps - aluminum 6061!

I've gotten a few sets of Dregs' return caps. They're great, no complaints. He only makes them intermittently, so it's great that there's another source for metal caps that are actually right. Folks, if you install a set of these aluminum caps, post up some pictures!

How old was that Walbro? Sounds like I should keep a spare in the truck that uses one.

So what did you do with your truck today?

I've got so many projects, and so little energy. That replumbing is one I hope to get to this summer, among dozens of others. I'll definitely take some pictures.

That yard with the bullnose peeking out looks a little like my yard. A quonset, surrounded by junk.

So what did you do with your truck today?

It's good to have that light working, it's flashing the only indication you have of trouble approaching with the factory controller.

Is there a current source for a pre-bled clutch master-slave cylinder kit?

This is my daughter's truck. I'll have her get the two cylinders, and I'll get the hose from Russ Repair, since it looks like someone is carrying on the business.

Is there a current source for a pre-bled clutch master-slave cylinder kit?

I accidentally posted this first in the tech articles. Is there a current source for a pre-bled clutch master-slave cylinder kit for an '83 F250 with the 6.9 and the T-19 (?or maybe -18?) transmission? I can find the cylinders and the line, but I'm not finding anything that lets me be lazy!
