Damn, the new owner got a great bumper. I would love to pick one up one day, still in awesome condition like that; but id probably be to afraid to install it as I wouldn't want it damaged lol.
To bad you were all the way down in FL. Goodluck to the new owner, I hope he appreciates it and...
I was looking through my books today trying to find out somethings and I just had a few questions as some things don't seem to match up or as cut and dry.
Full Label shot.
1st things first, the rims being 16x6. Is that specifically my truck or is that the same for all. What I mean...
just turned over 46,000 this week.
and honestly I cant tell. I know I know, ive tried looking if its coming from the weep hole or what but I for the life of me cant get under there and look where its leaking from when its running with all the v belts and fan swinging around.
x2!!
I barely see a little better than that in my 7.3idi regular cab 4x4 with 5 speed and stock as can be which 16 is about average for most.
So being close to that with the 460 and a crewcab and big ass tires is damn good imo!
ive been able to find them but like mentioned a complete setup always runs me what I mentioned. Im talking needing everything to swap over and drive.
Ive seen just the front d60 itself for cheaper but when you add in everything that is needed with it, your still up into the range I mentioned...
If I had a big enough shop to fit it in, id totally buy it and part the dog sh*t out of it lol.
Or take the camper off and put a nice flatbed on it. More than likely the first choice!
I wish mine would flap its wings like a chicken n fly away from my truck and return as a kingpin D60 setup without burning 1500-2000 out of my wallet lmao!
You either have the dually axle from an F350 drw or you have the DRW from C n C truck.
This F350 drw axle is the same axle as the HD250's, but its longer in width, and a few other things. You could do adapters to your axle or look into buying one from a truck DRW.
Look through these...
Id love to have it.
Thats the only thing I wish mine was, was having the 1 ton axle up front; but that only takes an axle swap lol.
With 45,000 miles and one owner, I couldn't pass it up; even if mine was just a 3/4 ton.
OK guys, update. Finally got around to trying a couple different belt lengths and finally found one that worked best for me and is much better.
It was a 44 inch belt.
The 38 wasnt even long enough to get on the pulley, the 42 would get on but the spinning part on the alt was still to close...
do you have a website for them that you used or anything?
I tried googling them but only thing I can find is a site with a catalog, but nothing to order from.
I dont have a napa near me. I went to walmart, autozone, advanced auto parts, and oreilys and they didn't have anything over regular size ones. Nothing like 1/0 or 2/0 for the diesel copper cable.
EDIT: they did have single clamps which is what I used for one positive, and the 2 negatives...
Anyone seen any complete kits on ebay recently; even the craftsman one?
Im needing to pick up a complete one for myself but I dont know all the parts it has to have and what can go with what.
I need some battery cable clamps, and different things for redoing my battery cables and such; but I for the life of me can't seem to find a good site to really order from that has what I want. I tried custombatterycable but shipping is 2-3 weeks out so I need something else besides just...
Damn you, lucky sob! lol
So far your plan sounds good and what i would do. Im not to partial to making the block crazy colors; im more of a neutral kind of guy.
Id keep it with what you got and to make sure to only do certain brackets and parts like the pulleys black. For me id want to...
Hmm glad you got it back on the road and enjoying it. Did the machine shop help you out with costs or anything or were you out a whole new rebuild again?
Also good fruit for thought on the whole 6.9 hg on the 7.3; glad I ran across this.
so are you saying you have a 94 front dana 60 balljoint style axle and you want to trade it for a dually rear sterling? Specifically a dually or can be a C &C?
Just trying to clarify as it was a little hard to know for sure what you were stating.
Goodluck
