The funny part is, my dad probably has 1000 ft of that stuff and I never thought about using it. I'm going to try a couple things, the truck is just such a tin can, which is great and annoying at the same time.
Love my '94 a lot but the road noise, engine noise (I love it, except on a 5 hour + trip ) and rattles are a bit much, how much success have people had quieting the whole cab down a bit with some dynamat ( or a cheaper alternative obviously not as good.) I'm thinking of pulling the seats and...
Will do, going to do that this weekend. Truck did the 5hiur ride back at 65 flawlessly. I need to get my pump timed for sure I can tell but the trucks a beast, goes up the Dames Point bridge flawlessly (4% grade. The steepest thing in Florida it feels like). A bit more power and id be extremely...
Just tried with the camp off and no difference. There doesn't seem to be a powerloss at all. It'll stay at 65 all day no issues up hills with the fuel filter light but I'm afraid of hurting the ip so I don't

Pump and filter have 500niles and no issues on front tank I'll try running rear tank with no cap it does fill super slow

It wouldn't surprise me if there was trash in the lines. The fsv is brand new so I'll try and blow it out. Might just select rear tank and connect rubber fuel line by lift pump and blow it clear the wrong way at like 10-20psi

So I took my truck on a 4hour trip with my camper and noticed above 2400rpm on rear tank my fuel filter light comes on, front tank doesnt do it all. I have no noticeable leaks anywhere, my system is I'd say 90% air tight ( assuming the top rubbers on my tanks are shot ). Now what would cause...
Now you're making me wonder why my truck can be a bear to turn over and start sometimes ( It's not as bad now with brand new batteries of the correct size! ) I may replace all the battery cables with solder in/crimp connections and make frame grounds for both sides... Hmmm.
I don't think the LCD would be much of an Issue... My Kia uses LCD for the radio and when I was back home for the winter last year, it was ghosting bad ( to be honest the rear speakers wouldn't even work till it warmed up in the cab lol ) if it's good enough for an OEM manufacturer it's fine for...
I didn't , boy was that awful.
Hope that's it, if not you may have to check the wiring, run continuity, and resistance tests.

Be careful mine would jump 0.4 volts when I tightened it. Also make sure to unplug high idle switch so the plunger doesn't push the lever.

Mine when I got it, literally no matter what I did the thing wouldn't shift earlier than 3000-3200rpm? and full line pressure... felt like I was wide open with bad motor mounts and no transmount. I adjusted the FIPL to 1.20V at what I assume is idle ( my tach still reads like shit but the trans...
Well getting all my hurricane prepping done today and noticed on the highway my trucks fuel filter light would come on sometimes.... Thought I fixed it.
Filled my front tank and it hasn't done it yet ( drove 75 on hwy so high rpm ) wonder if my rear tank has bad seals for the fsv ? Or if the...
You sir have probably started a sequence of me being put in the dog house for a couple days... I'm extremely interested in making something similar, I always used Torque Pro on my Dodge because it worked so well, and the sensors actually read correctly, the gauges are just dummy, so it worked...
Well, I was an idiot and didn't notice the diesel pooled up in my valley, went to go driving to test out my new lift pump and see if I'm still having issues with the fuel filter light and power .
Stopping at the end of my road reaching the main thorough fare for my city my truck slung my belt...
Got it all fixed, seems to run way better now, used to if the truck cranked slow it wouldn't even start... now with the new lift pump 3-4 rotations and it's running which I'm pretty happy about.
My next task if I decide to keep it is cleaning out the coolant system, has anyone used any good...
Installed new lift pump. Tried to start wouldn't start check the motor.
Valley pan is full of diesel... I think the olive seals I ordered were not correct. Looks like I'm back to the drawing board lol.

Awesome. Once it runs good enough again I'll stop by, figured middleburg would have a diesel shop that wasn't just new trucks...

Could my lift pump only weak when it's warm? Or does the IP increase fuel when the engine is warm?
I'll pull the feed line off, and see if I can blow through the line to the tank make sure it's not collapsed.

Okay I wasn't sure if those marks would set it to like a base that makes it run "mediocre".
I'm still searching for a shop here in NE Florida that even knows what I'm talking about with timing with a meter.
Runs good still till it warms up good then the fuel filter light comes on and it gets...
Replaced olive seals on IP feed line and once the truck warmed up and drove it for a minute the fuel filter light came back on.
Took filter off and drained it, it was full and no water and minimal debris looks like the showhead plastic from the tanks.
I can only assume my next culprit is the...
Okay I was just curious, I've never had to deal with dual tanks ever because every truck I've been in with dual tanks... only one worked. Nice to know and I'm just assuming there'll be some sort of air pocket between FSV and the pick up in a tank as it probably has no check valve and can drain back.
Ordering a new Fuel pump, have my orings coming in for the feed line to IP, and going to install my return line kit hopefully this weekend so I can get her back on the road, hopefully the 20minute drive with a dying lift pump didn't hurt the IP.
Now i know this may be a stupid question but...
This and an old fifth wheel I'm getting rid of.
4x4 life now means I can go boondocking in the woods and mountains can't wait!

Made a financial mistake lol. Got it on a great deal, man so nice to tow a 18ft camper over a 30+ ft 5th wheel ... Can't wait to setup in a couple weeks.
