    Weird blinker/ac blower issue

The problem is the ignition switch which is on top of the column, it may only need to be adjusted up or down or it’s bad and needs to be replaced.

    A/C sucks

More then likely your evaporator is plugged with leaves and crap, that’s the only thing that can restrict air coming out of your vents. The other thing to check is that you blend door doesn’t have something blocking it from moving and that it’s adjusted right to fully reach hot and cold setting...

    Wiring Woes

You could tap into the rear lights, just if something happens it will blow the fuse for all your lights instead of the fuse just for that side trailer light.

    Wiring Woes

Check if your getting power to fuse G first, that will tell you if it’s cab side or frame harness side. Ford did something off the wall with the trailer turn signal wiring, they go from the turn signal switch through the firewall to the frame harness, tap off and run it back through the firewall...

    OBS dash removal questions.

You removed the 4 top screws, two bottom middle bolts, the bolt on the very right of the dash holding to the A pillar, antenna, heater control cable, several plugs and ground wire on the right side kick panel, vacuum hose block, the 4 big bolts holding the aluminum to firewall, 2 firewall plugs...

Am I the only one that has to tighten DP Clamp daily?

My v-band clamp for the down pipe uses a nylock that I’ve ran up and down at least a dozen times with out replacing and hasn’t come loose. Your not using the clamp to pull the pipe in to the turbo are you? It should just be clamping them together with no extra tension from the exhaust system.

    Fan clutch upgrade...

I had the bushing made for around $70 bucks if I remember right, mind you I did cut up a fan to save machine time. $500 for 2 is ridiculous, thats what $250 an hour shop rate? Sounds like my local ford dealer shop rate $150-160/hr if it’s a diesel! @laserjock I do have a used 6.4 clutch...

Dana 60 - what seals do I need?

I usually buy the kit with seals and bearing, this is the updated part that combines the seal and wear washer together and replaces the dust slinger and single seal on the stub axle. This is the updated seal and wear washer And the updated stub axle seal (if you have a big metal disc on...

Super duty springs in the rear?

I think “bolt in” is being loosely used in this thread, the front hanger needs to be drilled out, the rear shackle needs some cutting to clear the spring properly and for full travel and the lengths are different. I do recommend instead of grinding the shackle out to just replace the hanger and...

    Fan clutch upgrade...

It would look like you’d need to take at least 2” off each blade to make it fit, it mite work just fine and be balanced but if it’s not balanced or removing 2” causes some kind of structural compromise in the fan I wouldn’t want to know what it does under the hood. What’s wrong with bolting...

    Fan clutch upgrade...

I wouldn’t cut the 6.4 fan, no way your going to get it cut perfectly to keep it in balance and even if you do what are the chances it won’t explode at 3k rpm and take out the rad or near by parts, not worth the risk.

    Fan clutch upgrade...

If you can make these that will be in the budget for the average idi guy I say do it. I’m just trying to help out the community as everyone else, I’m not trying to make anything on these mods but if anyone wants to help me out with parts I definitely wouldn’t say no. The cheapest solution to do...

    Weird blinker/ac blower issue

When this problem happens does your backup lights work? On your ignition switch, one of the outputs feeds fuses 5 and 9, fuse 5 feeds the turn signals and backup lamps (and day time running lamps), fuse 9 feeds the heater controls. If the ignition switch has a bad spot this would cause your...

    Fan clutch upgrade...

The stock programming on the 6.4 takes into account coolant temp, oil temp, ac pressure, fuel temp and trans temp. It also tries to turn on the fan partly depending on demand, I haven’t gotten the clutch on mine to work in between on/off. I can rev up to 3k+ and the fan will be turning...

    Fan clutch upgrade...

If I had the resources to make these within the budget of most people on here I would but at the moment just making the bushing would be $70-$100 and I would need a stock fan clutch to rob the shaft from. The electronics would probably be around $50-$100 and I don’t have the ability right now to...

    Let’s talk fan clutch

Best mod I did was using that 6.4 fan clutch. Very easy to control and locks up pretty quick, though sometimes it takes a minute or two to unlock but being able to turn it on and off when you want is something you can’t beat and electric fans just don’t cut it on a diesel. I would never go back...

I did it and now it's going to hurt.// 4R100 Upgrade

I hope when your saying A4OD your meaning E4OD and not AOD/AODE as those are small block gasser trans. Assuming E4OD, you would put the trans in gear (probably 1 or 2), transfer case would go into neutral, PTO clutch on and you could start winching then I believe (I’ve never had or used a pto...

I did it and now it's going to hurt.// 4R100 Upgrade

You can’t use the oem 4r100 controller as it’s part of the PCM that runs the powerstroke engine. There maybe a aftermarket controller that will work with the 4r100 digital range sensor (neutral/reverse switch) and maybe the pwm tcc but I don’t know if such a thing exists. I would recommend...

I did it and now it's going to hurt.// 4R100 Upgrade

The 4r100 solenoid pack uses a pwm solenoid for the tcc lockup, this allows for a smoother/pcm fine tuneable control of the tc lockup, when ford did this they opened up the feed orifice to 1/4” and the pwm solenoid controls the apply rate. When you go to either the aftermarket or stock...

I did it and now it's going to hurt.// 4R100 Upgrade

If I’m remembering right the pcm increases the line pressure when the pto is activated to increase the holding power of one of the clutches. Are you using a stand alone controller or the factory TECA? I’m guessing you also know you have to switch out the solenoid pack, torque converter from 6...
