    There should be like a washer that reenforces the pan in the oil plug area. It is thin but can catch a few threads. Have to be careful with a tap, I believe the oil pickup screen is just above drain. Can shine a light or use something soft to check for clearance.

    The tip looks like it was firing. What does the copper washer look like from that injector? Did you have a dead miss?

    Is your overdrive light flashing? I had a 93 that was giving a 62 code, convertor slip and it would heat up and blow fluid out the overflow on top of transmission. Do you have a transmission fluid temperature gauge?

    We’re you able to check the bearings. When I did mine I think the parts were $40 and took a couple of hours.

    Put your knee under lower steering wheel and apply upward pressure. Grab the top of wheel and pull up. Hit center (with nut at top of threads to protect shaft threads) nut with heavy hammer, should pop loose.

    Block your engine so it remains stationary when you remove transmission, keeping it at this angle helps during reinstallation and is safer for your body parts.

    Some have said to clean the cut line on the balancer to improve signal to the meter.

    If you have access to 110v power and the block heater cord looks good, I’d plug it in and help your chances of starting easier.

    I had that problem and it ended up being the bearings in the steering column. There is also a u joint that can bind. It is inside the cab, not the one under the hood. I thought it was my power steering pump at first, hard to turn didn’t return to center.

    If you have black smoke you have more fuel than air. If you roll into it to wot, is it still black?

    Don’t just change them, check them. Get a crow bar, jack up one front tire from the frame at a time and pry at the bushing end to see if there’s play.

    Have you checked your I beam pivot bushings? They often get overlooked.

    August 26 in Alabama. Intake air 94 (under hood at air filter) outdoor temp 94. Driving up slight incline at 55 mph towing 27 ft 10,000lb boat. Engine oil 211, transmission temp 156.

    Until you can get the money together for that step, find all your hot side and cold side leaks.     I had a small leak in my intercooler piping. I put 15lbs of shop air and used soap suds to find small bubbles at silicon connectors, it was small. It greatly improved response and added 4 lbs of boost. I’ll also beat the dead horse, when your moving down the road the under hood air temperature...

    It doesn’t take much exhaust leak to affect boost. It reduces drive pressure. Look for soot at that joint.

    If you have that much coolant unaccounted for, I would turn the motor over by hand to insure it’s not hydro locked before I hit the starter.

    Why are you having to jump it with pliers? Are you getting 12v to the fuel shut off solenoid on injection pump?
