Yeah I think I got a red orifice also. Air works great.
I wouldn't flush new lines unless you think something fell in them. I'd be more worried about contaminating them. I've never flushed new lines. And I've never had issues.
I also would recommend a new compressor. I've used 4 seasons...
Awesome swap and just in time for the weekend. I have a 96 F150 I can swap out right now.
You used the control cables from the 97 also?
Did it just bolt into the dash? Or did you have to make brackets to get it mounted?
This is next on my list of mods.
EDIT - Sorry see you're still adding...
Regular cab in the rear of a crewcab might work. Basically the rear of a crewcab is the same as a regular cabs back wall.
Mike - I have a 96 F150 sitting at the house if you need pics. Not super interested in cutting it up at this point though.
Also if you're not putting the correct year rear...
If it worked before I'd wonder about plugged orifice tube. Not sure why it would have plugged just recently though. Was it cold outside? Any chance you have moisture in the a/c system and it froze up the orifice tube?
I've had my pressure relieve blow like that, but it was with a plugged...
On mufflers I almost ordered a walker 21471 last night. It was the one that came recommended when I was researching mufflers last summer. I don't' have one now and get a bit of drone. Not much, but I'd prefer it being a little quieter for camp grounds and traveling in.
Getting close! To being...
Is the hydroboost used? If so it might need seals. Pretty easy to do. I just did my crewcab a couple weeks ago. It was a 35$ kit off eBay and I followed instructions off FTE.
I think the kick back can be a symptom of a bad seal.
My unit was acting like great manual brakes. So no power assist...
I ran a no-name parts store one for years with no issues. I'm currently not running a steering stabilizer and don't plan to. Drives great without it.
Can't see it hurting but you might be ok without.
My build thread probably lists it, but I bought my headliner material and glue from Automotive interiors if I remember correctly.
Regarding mounting that I'm thinking some metal strips between the supports under the headliner to screw into. I'd be all over nutserts as you can tigten then up...
I have a wine colored speedo gear in my crewcab now. It reads 3mph fast. So 45 reads 48. I ran a yellow gear for years.
You're running factory tires also?
We had a Uhaul 22' moving van with a 7.3. It had an oil fed air compressor that fit on that location and used those drains in the head to return the oil back to the engine. That compressor had a pretty good sized oil feed line to it.
I've always used an f250 shaft in my f-350. But I've also had a US gear in there so my front drive shaft is really long. I've never had a vibration or excelerated u-joint wear with my setup.
So the 750-850. Is that both front and rear shafts all brand new with U-joints, hanger bearing, front shaft Double cardon etc? If so that actually sounds pretty good.
I had a shaft for my 49 international built brand new. Two Yokes, tube and two joints. They reused the transmission slip yoke...
4x4 and low range don't come on unless the transfer case is in 4x4 or low range. They don't light on initial startup.
Brake light - That is hooked to the e brake and the brake vacuum sensor on the fender well. I don't think it comes on with key on either. Set the parking brake and see if it...
Local shop that balances does the whole rear shaft at one shot. They need the carrier bearing also. I've never used them myself, but my buddy has.
I've had a local machine shop do my shafts before. They don't balance. They just indicate all the parts in on the lathe as they fit them and weld...
Well I ebayed a kit today to rebuild my hydro boost. I'm pretty sure it doesn't work right. I don't think it's adding power. Feels like great manual brakes to me. But not Awesome Power brakes.
I've never had any luck finding different shafts. Seems like they always get bent by the salvage yard moving trucks with the forklift. I've always had mine retubed. But my yokes weren't rusty.
I have driveshaft parts around so if you need parts like yokes let me know. Also I may have a decent...
