Wow! That pitman arm was really on there! Box looks good. That puller does fit tight Your experience with Inline tube has been total crap. Can't believe it's that bad. Mine was smooth sailing. Makes ya wonder if they changed management or ownership since I bought my lines. Looking great...

What SM clutch kit should I get

I like the LUK clutch kits. The master kit with flywheel/pressure plate/clutch disk and hardware is like 385 currently on rock auto, but you can buy the flywheel kit and then pressure plate/clutch disk kits cheaper separately. And those kits include all the hardware that the master kit does...

    wing window enlightment

This is my understanding of how the door glass works for the front doors. 80-86 side glass is unique and only works with 80-86 vent windows. The 80-86 side glass is like 1/2" longer than other side glasses because of thinner divider strip at the vent window. 87-97 side glass works with...

    Cavitation evidence pic?

Can you run a dye penetrant through it? We use that stuff to find suspect welds at work. It seems to leech it's way through the tiniest of crack. I would wonder about putting piston up under suspect area. Use modeling clay or type stuff to make a dam so the dye penetrant sits by that suspect...

    Axle bolts

Russ recommends new bolts from ford. If I remember correctly. I also thought I read to replace them if they don't torque up Ok. If the torque then it sounded like no issue. I would use blue loctite personally. I rarely to never use red.

What pitman arm puller you using? I bought an OTC 8150 and it worked super. Even in the truck. Looking great as always! Keep it up. Hell you lost a box of links I lost the turbo for my crewcab. I looked probably 3 hours for that damn thing. Almost ready to call cops cause I was sure I got...

    ready for some paint!!!

I would be concerned about Epoxy over the 80 grit. Seems too course. I'd probably be leaning towards 180 grit before epoxy. Read the tech sheet though and see what they recommend. Normally they give a range and I typically go on the fine side. I'm always worried about scratches coming back...

So between those two kits you got all new flywheel and pressure plate bolts also? Thats awesome. I wish they were more forthcoming with that info in the part descriptions. I ordered the more expensive kit cause I wasn't sure if they came with everything. Ratsin fratsin. 70 on saturday! that's...

That sucks. I had no issues at the wheels. My pain was self inflicted at the T-fitting. Because of all the brake line changes is there a chance there is 1989 wheel cylinders with 1990 brake lines or some such nonsense? I didn't think the wheel cylinders changed, but who knows. Keep us posted.

double check those fittings at the rear axle. In my truck the factory ford rubber line with the built in t-fitting has two different size fittings. Drivers side was larger than passenger side. Of course i did a custom stainless line there and had to reflare the drivers side line to the smaller...

Yeah I bet it did pretty good with that. 4.10's with the 35" tire I bet would be awesome. Clean looking truck. So what tube bender do you have?

    '90 F350 Crewcab 4x4 "BFTD" Project..

That's weird it was that tight between the engine crossmember and transmission. I swapped engines in my 93 no problem leaving the transmission fully hooked up. I have a ZF also. I normally put a jack under the tranny and push it up as high as it will go. Normally up into the body. Then put the...

To replace the Studs for the windshield clips you can use rivets. I ordered new clips from Bronco graveyard for my 89. The larger bottom clip came with rivets. Part numbers are below. 35196 Bag of small clips. - I ordered one bag of 20 clips. 35197 individual big clip with two rivets...

stud guns, which one to get?

I use my buddy's stud gun and it works great. I think it's lived at my house longer than his. I'm pretty sure it's an Eastwood lower end gun. Magna-Spot 1000? I think he paid 300 for it 10 years ago. I've probably put 200-300 copper studs on with it. I've never had any issues with the electrical...

Sweet! Looks like your raising the helper right. Get em started early! Funny how much ford changed the brake lines. I had the same conundrum on my 89. I looked at all sorts of different trucks and everyone of them was different. - Jeremy

Review: Upol Raptor Liner Spray-on Bed Liner

How well did the gun clean up afterward? Like can I use a decent gun or plan on it being almost throw away? I've got to touch up my grill guard on the crewcab and running boards and was thinking about using a typical gun vs the shutz gun they give you. That shutz gun makes a mess of...

Yeah, Definitely get one point lined up well. Tach it or screw it in. Then move to the next. You may have to refit stuff you've done, but you'll start stiffening up the panel as you go. Then only have part of it moving around vs all of it. Also I would put weather stirpping and stuff back in...

    Glow Shift Gauge Pods/Meter Combo

I have a 3 in 1 Glowshift dash mount gauge in my 93. Does EGT (sweep), Water temp (digital) and boost (digital) I love it. Easy to mount and I really like the digital gauges. I have a 3-pillar mount in my 89 using isspro gauges. It's fine, but the resolution of the water temp gauge sucks. I...

    1990 F250 Snow Plow Concerns

I run a Western Uni-mount on my 93 f250 with dana 50. It's all sagged out, but seems fine. I don't run any ballast other than a topper. The ass end gets lite with plow up, but I've never had issues pushing. With the plow up the front digs like no other. I would have no concerns with it.

That pulled out way better than I would have thought. yeah now that you have it looking good I'd look at swapping in that clip you have. If the cowl area is straight I'd probably section the a-pillar and replace the b-pillar. I'd section somewhere above the rear door as the C-pillar looks...

We check welder gas leaks at work by putting a balloon on the end of the lead. Balloon fills you got a leak. I turn my tanks off though. Sucks to find out your out when you go to use it. And i'm not in the shop every day. If you can swing it the gas will make a big difference. Also .023 wire...

When butt jointing panels I'll cut them long. And if they are thin enough to overlap I'll then run a thin cut off wheel through both panels leaving a .06" gap between them to put weld in for butt welding. The cuts match pretty darn near perfect this way. And yeah You'll probably end up with a...
