stainless braided fuel line, for the entire fuel system?

:wtf: I think that is a little high? 3500 / 60 seconds / 2 (four stroke) / 8 cylinders works out to each cylinder firing 3.6 times per second at 3500 rpm, no? Moot point anyway... you are right on not wanting tubing to expand.

I installed Counteract in my wife's Caravan tires and I put high quality Air Soft pellets in my new truck tires... will never use weights again! Smoothest ride ever.

    D50/d60 quiestion

You will definitely have funky steering if you mix them. In the link in my signature (I hate to pimp it but there are great pics in there) go to post #2. There is a side by side pic of the two knuckles. You would definitely have to match them!

    Hard start, glow plugs?

Dunk, I would check the voltage at the GP relay. make sure there is power getting to your GP's. Assuming you are using the original GP controller your WTS light will tell you if you have a blown GP; if the WTS light seems to be on a shorter amount of time and then quickly cycles you have a GP...

New southern truck, how to stop rust

I have rustproofed my truck since new using hydraulic fluid. Hydraulic fluid has rust inhibitors but does not have detergents that will wreck rubbers. Hyd fluid goes on sale, easy to spray, weeps everywhere...

Steering ISSUE fix - Drag link roll causing dead spot

The part I made is actually UHMW polyethylene; this is also very tough stuff although maybe not as hard as Delrin (UHMW = Shore 80 v.s. Delin = Shore 83). I am sourcing some Delrin... have a road trip coming up this weekend so I will see about getting a better better stock. Once concern I...

Steering ISSUE fix - Drag link roll causing dead spot

This is a spin-off from this thread http://www.oilburners.net/forums/showthread.php?75212-Tie-rods-and-related-steering-components&p=882877#post882877 When I rebuilt my D60 I installed all new XRF components (ball joints plus all steering consumables). I have never been satisfied with the...

Tie rods and related steering components

When I had mine aligned (as it is now) I noticed that the tre are \ / that would reduce the drag link's ability to articulate (flop). I considered this to be chitty workmanship and hard on the boots and TRE's. Now I think they probably did this purposely to reduce rotation. I found some...

Tie rods and related steering components

No harm no foul! I am just glad that you could google my handle and not find anything  Well, nothing bad anyway :D riotwarrior... thanks for the info about the ISSUE. I think I will make one of those spacers, I happen to have a small stock of nylon and Delrin rounds. I have been...

    Fuel Filter Heater 7.3 Info?

Are you sure it's the orings that are leaking? Mine failed through the connector itself... no o-ring would fix that. I was like you and bought a new heater to keep it factory. Wasted $130... I recommend removing it and putting a plug in instead.

    Unidentified injector

You can get o-rings locally (hydraulics shop). I would recommend getting a box of viton #111. I think the McMaster part number is 9464K24. Still get a return line kit but always nice to have a box of fresh o-rings. They are cheap when you buy bulk...

D50 wheel bearings spinning on spindle

I dug out the spindles and they are not quite what I thought they were. When I did my D60 swap the D60 spindles had been beaten on a little; I moved my D50 spindles (which are perfect) to the D60. Anyway, long story short, I attached pics of the D60 spindles that I have available. Your call...

D50 wheel bearings spinning on spindle

Sorry for the lat reply... deer season here so I have been spending some quality time in a deerstand;Sweet How much of a rush are you in? I don't mind shipping, but from Canada I think it will be expensive. If you are not in a rush I can ship from NY next time I am down.

D50 wheel bearings spinning on spindle

I am 95% sure that I have a perfect pair of spindles for a D50. When I swapped to the D60 I saved all of the hubs and guts. I am in Canada though... I do travel to NY once in a while to pick up crap from the States but the dollar has been limiting my shopping. Let me know if you want them...

D50 wheel bearings spinning on spindle

You can get a Loctite product for installing loose fit bearings - I use this stuff to install bearings and seals in Mercruiser outdrives (as per the overhaul manual). Google Loctite 660. I agree new spindle and Timken bearings though. Easiest fix is put a D60 in there! :fan:
