There's several SDs with hydroboost and alot of Chevys at the local pick n pull. May be a stupid question but what is the compatibility on these things? What are the main differences, rods, mounting?
I have looked for countless hours online and I cannot find a dipstick TUBE for this thing... Anybody have any suggestions or know of a decent aftermarket?

This may be a stupid question but... How is so much water getting into the engine from just rain ? Did you have something open? I've only hydrolocked an engine once and it was from going completely under water.
I had 7 of them go bad within 3 years. I'll never buy another one. When my job upgraded I upgraded batteries in everything. They may take abuse well for race or off road applications but they absolutely don't last. I had a yellow top in one of my trucks and it did the same...

Is there supposed to be a gasket between the front cover and the oil pan or do you guys use rtv? I'm going to put the front of the engine back together today. Any trouble spots that need special care?
I think I may put a brass ball valve on the back of the fuel filter housing before the barb connecting the tank and the outlet of the electric pump. I bought a facet pump before I read a whole lot about them. Gonna see how long it lasts. Thanks for the help man!
Anybody had any problems moving the fuel filter down to the frame? I'm going to figure something out for the bleeder up near the engine but... I cut the bracket from the engine and kind of mocked it up. I'm going to weld flanges in the highlighted areas and mount it in this location so the...
Well, the por is done, I'm completely covered. Engine goes back in today hopefully! My super pregnant and completely uninterested wife sitting there saying boy you're committed... Sure is hot out here... Does it really all need to be covered? ...
