    Experimental repair for 1980-86 dash

My thought here was to fabricate a tray that screws to the speaker bracket somehow so it'll have a nice ss or alum piece to hold maybe sunglasses or a wallet while driving.

    Led 1157 for 1985 rear brake/tail

You know now that you say it, once I pull the bed and clean up my wiring for the transfer pump and trailer, maybe I'll try LEDs again!

    Led 1157 for 1985 rear brake/tail

I tried the 1157s on my 85 and they worked on the left side, not the right taillights. The brake lights wouldnt come on. My side markers also wouldn't work with leds. Back to stock bulbs and everything works fine. Part of the fun is not seeing where you're going. Back when these trucks were...

EPA Sheriff, Nosy Karens and my truck

Just drive reverse! Or even better, Jeff could mount a 55 gallon drum on the hood for exhaust exit.

Good way to get that smoked lense look on the cargo light/third brake light.

    Wiring connector Identification 1984

Okay just checked the wiring diagram, the round one is for the alternator regulator. 4 wires should be RO, Y/LG, LG-R, and Yellow 37. Red orange and yellow light green go to the ammeter (mine never worked), light green red comes from the ignition, and the yellow 37 should come from a fusible...

    Wiring connector Identification 1984

Is this a gasser extended cab? The round 4 plug, from what I can remember, went to my alternator and I removed when I did my 3G swap. The second could be your water in fuel unless this is a gasser, then idk. I don't have AC, cant help on the third. Check www.garysgaragemahal.com for wiring...

    Chassis question

My dad used his snapon press and couldn't get mine out. Even with heat. Had to use the 60 ton press at the shop.

    New engine, No power

I made a custom bicycle pump pressure tester for my STI. Held 15 psi for 20 minutes and I called it good. Won't hurt the turbo unless your compressed air caused the turbine to spin without oil to it.

So what did you do with your truck today?

On my 85 I have to support the thing with both hands and gingerly hover it above the fill pipe. Placing it in, doesn't matter depth, kicks the pump on and off. I'll do the harpoon mod one day.

Compatibility of 87-91’ Dash Cluster Between Gas and Diesel

You could do a mechanical gauge, we use tach readouts on the box, or wire it in to a plc. Let me research the gauge option and get back to you.

Compatibility of 87-91’ Dash Cluster Between Gas and Diesel

I bought a tach sensor and plug connector on rockauto for equivalent year tach for my truck when I get around to buying the dakota digital dash one day. I don't have rpms currently. I know that the gassers use a different pickup spot for rpm than the diesel so the wiring connection and tach are...
