2019 Rally Pot Luck
Good call! We are still planning on Taco Tuesday as its own event. We are looking at Thursday to be a line up and Pot luck event at this point. I am actually working on a preliminary schedule at this moment.- subway

IP gear housing leak
if you keep it together you should be fine. i would take the front lemon shaped cover off and make a mark exactly where the gear is so if it does move you have a reference to come back to. as long as the engine does not turn and you line the marks back up you will be fine.- subway

4X4 Manual hubs or automatic?
??? difference in fuel mileage between manual and auto hubs???? if so, you should not see any difference between the two styles unless you leave the front hubs locked in all the time. even then some claim almost no difference.- subway

You also have less pivot points and linkages that have to flex with the engine. I dont know of any bolt in manual conversions that would work so you would be stuck fabricating some set up and working the bugs out of it. 4X4 Manual hubs or automatic?
I had auto locking hubs and they worked great until I put a load on them. When I was trying to get through about 1 ft of snow I would hear a big bang and the front end would unload. the u-joints in my case were not wallowed out either but the seals had failed and the whole needle bearing set up was a rusty mess. it actually made it bind tighter, i could hardly move them by hand. hopefully some PB will get them to loosen up some.- subway

haha, i am one of those sleezy guys to, my 5.9 is still made by IH though LOL besides that i have never heard of something like that, can you get under it and have someone pump the pedal when it acts up. putting eyes on it might show you the problem.- subway

Lug pattern fix suggestions
odd the axle should not be off center because it is newer. iirc the spring perches on the newer axles all but line up on the older frame. unless the previous owner really did something else bone headed. i think the other issue you might run into is a D60 front axle seems to run in the 800 to...- subway

i still think it is the the universal joints in the knuckles, you can see them binding then popping into position. they should be able to turn smoothly with the steering knuckle. everything else looks good. does the 4x4 make noise when it is used? running it in 4x4 on a rainy day so the system...- subway

how are you going to put all those new diesels to shame if you cant trounce them on the street! strip vehicles are fun but it is not the same holding up your ticket to a mall crawler to prove your truck is faster. it is more fun to show them your receding tail lights LOL- subway

Favorite mechanical lift pump brand?
