it has made me question my sanity a couple of times.....
i have a 7.3 IC in mine. if i had to do it over again i would go with a set up like Wes posted. easier to mount and the newer ones are supposed to be more efficient. you dont have to worry about the odd ball Ford 3.25" boot adapter you...
I will be there, probably with my white truck that has the 6 shooter under the hood lol......unless that blows up to, it has been one of those weeks lol
i am completely impressed you spotted AND got a picture of the pump while it looks like it is going down the highway! impressive LOL
usually if i spot something by the time i get my phone out it is completely gone or i am trying to explain what the blurs are to my friends that dont care about...
i could be wrong but the clark transmission should be a SAE bell housing. probably a SAE #2, you can double check by measuring the bolt circle diameter or distance between bolts if it is a circular pattern.
if that is the case then you will want to find a IDI to SAE adapter. they are not super...
i would throw a vacuum gage on the pump only and see what it is doing.
you could then plug it into the system to see if it is acting the same or you have a leak.
somewhere there is a spec that if the pump is not hitting this many inches of vacuum it is on its way out. unfortunately i dont...
your axles and springs actually dont look that bad. i would hit them with a pressure washer so you can see a little better what you are dealing with rust wise with the dirt gone. after that you can wire wheel them down or sand blast them. just be careful not to blast into the yoke or brake...
the wifey signed me up so i have to go now LOL
thanks for doing this Darrin, i love camping during this cooler time of year. i will remember to bring a coat to so i don't have to steal one again:D
i was surprised, i was seeing this on a regular basis on the ride home and was not happy with it. i might have even got it hotter and found myself backing down. once i got through the peak heat of the day it was back down to 205-210 and 75 mph no problem though.
i second that, while i will be ahead of Goose tonight we are still up in the air on a good place to overnight. it seems walmarts are getting much more picky and not allowing overnights and truck stops can get upset if you take a full sized trucker spot if they are full and someone has to stop...
to jump in, i have the same fuge, you run it partially open to regulate the pressure. power steering pumps can get up to 1500 or so psi, much more than the fuge wants!
no, yes, no, every time i think i am i think of something else LOL
getting down to the wire! soon i will be chilling in my hammock with the soothing sounds of running water and excited kids all around me.
we plan to be rolling in around noon sat but i think most of the convoy in the link above will be rolling in more around 3 or so in the afternoon.
i am looking at the weather to and although is shows thunderstorms everyday it looks like it is just a 50% chance overall. hopefully they are like...
it is most likely a medium duty transmission with a SAE #2 bellhousing. the medium duty transmissions seem to be pretty easy to pull apart and rebuild. if you can get a number off the side it is not to hard to download a manual for most of them. i have also seen them around in the non overdrive...
from what i understand about the engines they are well built and on par with the cummins and IH inline engines. they respond to the same turbo and IP upgrades as well. just like Wes said though the aftermarket has not picked them up. i mentioned this to Alex and Chris and they said parts are...
sorry with running around getting everything ready we have not really gotten past a prelim schedule. been working past midnight to many nights catching up. it is meant to be a relaxed schedule anyway. some of it went back and forth trying to find deals. we will try to get something soon.
