    My steering wheel is sitting with the top (12 o'clock position) , at about 1:30 or 2 o,clock. Can I just remove the steering wheel and reposition it a few gear teeth over? Or is there a keyway, that it will only fit in one postion? The truck drives fine and does not wander going down the road...

    Well now I am really confused. I went ahead and put it back on, turned on key then touched plug to fss and I can hear it clicking loudly like it is making good contact, time and time again. But when I had it off the fss would barely move the plunger when activated?

    Ok oldbull, I removed fss from top of ip, grounded it to battery and jumped a wire to post. Nothing happened, my test light comes on but plunger in fss does not move . It stays out in extended position. It pushes in freely, with just spring tension pushing it back out . Solenoid control arm...

    From what i have seen in oklahoma, I would buy that truck for 900.00 and pay 1300.00 in california and bring it to oklahoma and register again, and still would be one heck of a deal!!! I guess I live in the wrong part of the country

    also when I got home this evening, it would not turn off, I just raised the hood and clamped shut the return line again, and it died instantly. Truck runs fine idling and going down the highway, just will not shut off.

    I looked all around the wiring loom and tried to trace where it went, for 12 volt power. I could not find the plug, the hot wire appears to enter the wire loom and go toward the drivers side. If you could help me pinpoint it, that would be great.

    Nooby question, What is an FSS? and I have also seen iirc used alot in different areas, what is that? On a side note, I drove home from work this morning and truck turned off with kay, just as it is supposed to do. another question, I removed the bottom cover from my steering column at work...
