Ok it has some vacuum, haven't checked it with a gauge yet. I have a real hard pedal on brake, put on a new booster a out 4 months ago . Complete new back brakes hubs and all. Did not change master cylinder. What else could cause a hard pedal
Thanks you for all your answers. I'll have to check into it more before I drop 139.00 bucks for a new pump! On a side note who has a used one for sale and how much ? :)
I'm pretty sure mine went out friday, hard brake pedal and when I pull the hose from brake booster and put my thumb over it at idle, it barely has any vacuum.
Russ is type4 on here when he gets a chance he will see this post and contact you or you can pm him. I bought some from him about 1 year ago they work great
No woosh when brakes are applied and hvac works fine in all modes. Using the thumb suck-o-meter, the vacum lines pulls an eighth inch bulb onto a 52 year old well callused thumb at idle. Havent had a chance to hook it to a regular vacuum gauge yet.
Make brake pedal suddenly became very hard to push and brake light comes on. I think it might be the brake booster, anyone else have any opinions? Vacuum pump seems to be working, i pulled the vacuum line from the booster and it forms a suction on my thumb.
Trackspeeder, by range sensor are you talking about the mpls on the side of transmission? If so this is what i recently posted about thaat will not adjust properly on my trans i have not been able to pull the pan yet and see why.

Went out and checked the washer situation. It is not the problem, the adjustment slots arw not long enough to get it to line up properly. As far as jumpping around the switch, i dont think thay is possible on an e4od automatic.
