Howdy y’all, I’ve got a full motor with factory turbo kit. 94 idi turbo. Something happened to the motor a couple years ago i I thought it seized but I was able to start it up once it cooled off. It’s just sitting now that I’ve swapped it and I need to clear space up.
What do you guys think...
I bought a blue top gear box and it’s great. A little less than red top and I think they’re same league. I went ahead and did the lines and new motor craft pump while in there. My only regret is not getting a hydro boost pump.
Maybe just save for a few weeks and hit it all at once.
(Only buy...
I’m thinking I can get it much lower than that..I’m aiming for sub 10k
It’s a project he doesn’t want to deal with and has been parked for 5 months.
But would it be a worthy replacement for the old 94? I guess my main issues with the rust free 94 is lack of replacement parts..sub par...
Auto..like most new trucks
And I’m not totally clean in the miles just yet. I’m guessing more than 100k and less than 200k
He’s a local fisherman/fire chief and I don’t think he travels very far
Howdy..so it’s time to dredge up an old post of mine.
There’s a guy I met at the fire station. I drive past his house often and I recently noticed his 2010 dodge parked out back for some time. I guess he messed up part of the body and its brakes are gone, ball joints, tie rods all that jazz...
So this is what I’d want to get? And probably a new switch plug

So I’ve got a couple of seal questions. I have a Dana 60 from a 1997 in the truck.
The axle didn’t have the outer tube dust seals on either side.
The seal that comes up look exactly like the one that’s also on the outer shaft by the hub. Is it the same seal...
Howdy, so this issue actually occurred a couple years ago and the truck didn’t get driven much once I got the motor pulled
So anyways this was the original light switch the truck came with but it looked like someone was in there before me.
I started smelling a burning electrical smell while...
My bearings seem to be in good shape. Especially when comparing to the new ones. Both timken and I notice no wear in them. I feel bad throwing them away!
My inner hub seals were letting water into the hubs and I do have slight rusty grease but no pitting or corrosion on the bearings.
I found...
I’m going to wait until all the parts come in. All new bearings/seals/ujoints/rotors/pads and rebuilt calipers..I’ll probably keep this truck and keep the dodge while I work on it. If I ever need to take a trip to the woods while waiting out war time this truck would be best for the family
I’ll get bearings order today. One more question I had is the hub supposed to be inside the rotor or on the outside of the rotor? I had to punch the lug nuts out of the rotor and the wheel hub was on the outside face of the rotor..here is a photo. I’m thinking someone messed with it to make it...
So..my 94 f350 4x4 has a 97 PSD Dana 60 swapped in. I’ve been hearing noise up front and ripped it all apart. The drivers hub spun for an hood long while and made a lot of noise once I got my caliper off. I’m rebuilding slide pin boots/calipers/ inner oil seals, inner stub axle bearings, axle u...
I recall there was once a guy who built a heavily modified 6.6l duramax and he burned up multiple built Allison’s..so I think they swapped in a 48re from a dodge. Of course heavily modified as well.
Checked it that morning. It had sat for a few weeks and I went to take it to meet a client. Topped it off and heard what I thought was a slight knocking but wasn’t sure if i was hearing things.. took off in the morning heard a weird squealing noise and next thing it was loosing power blowing...
on the reliability side of things I bought my truck with 255k and a rebuilt transmission. Bought early 2019 I believe and the motor let go early spring of 2021(pretty sure)..I’m also pretty sure it was the turbo seal and sucked all my oil out.seized up on the way to work and I should have just...
Anyone ever install a franz bypass filter? I recall it being very popular on the turbo diesel registry site years ago. Most guys had a Cummins and franz filter using one roll of Scott’s TP
