@Macrobb I didn't know there was a gasket, never saw one come off and I don't belive one went on unless it was on the sending unit, that would maybe explain the inch of silicone I had to remove to get my old sending unit out now lol- pelky350

my buddy with a Cummins keeps going on about how a "big line kit" is gonna make him soo much power. My question is, is he even right about adding any power? He says by replacing the stock lines from the tank to the lift pump with a larger diameter line it will make fuel flow better and therefore...- pelky350

That's the one that came out of my truck, updates though I still it won't go above a 5/8 of tank now, but when I had it out I could move it to full and my guage said full? Well it's installed now, tank has about half full of fuel I checked by hand before installing to see if it was on the ball park and it says just over half so it's close probably, lines are kinda relaxed now I moved them around the fram some and they seem alright now, old one was held in with a...- pelky350

It fits, guage seems to read, however the lines are angles different on top and the plug sits on the opposite side of the top, and my lines don't seem to want to sit in the position the sender wants them to be on it due to the new being positioned different slightly- pelky350

So what's go going here? The bottom ones that's dirty came from my tank, guage hasn't ever worked, top isn't one I pulled from my parts tank and when I plug it in it moves the needle to various spots I could hold it in, bottom out it's empty top it's full it's seems to be correct. A sending unit question, again!
Testing a sending unit, at its lowest point it reads 16 ohms. At max it over loads the meter but just a touch off it's max it reads just about 170, sometimes a point it hits 350 before max, is this sending unit good? It seems like maybe it's not supposed to be help up that high maybe because...- pelky350

timing cover gasket or RTV?
Rubber Gaskets I use nothing, papery/ cork I use the tacky gasket seeler stuff, when no gasket I like "the right stuff"- pelky350

What to do about a stripped oil drain plug?
Idk if idi pans are stronger than a 5.0 truck pan but when this happened to my bronco the spot welded on tab broke off trying the oversized tapping plug and I had to remove my pan.. but maybe It was my bad luck. Fuel selector valve
So what I'm gonna do first is maybe plug my extra sender into the front tanks plug on my harnes and have a buddy I'm the cab to see if when I actuate the sender fin it reads on my guage. Before that I'm gonna read the ohms on my sender on the meter and see what's it says and check that with the...- pelky350

What kind of a cruel joke is this?? Why did they put the selector valve behind the front tank?? There is like 5 feet of free space before the tank and mine Is located behind the tank??- pelky350

Haven't really noticed leaks beside the rear tank areas but I only run the front tank. Maybe since it's usually under negive pressure it's not leaking out but could Be letting air in somewhere. But I suppose changing it out isn't gonna hurt anything. Also considering selling my oversized rear...- pelky350

Is a 93 selector valve same as 88? And how difficult is it To change them? Neither of my fuel gauges work, and I think it's returning fuel to my rear tank while running front tank. I have one from my parts truck. Also wondering how the lines seals to the valve?- pelky350

085 Replacement
With the way your turbo mounts to the up pipe you could probably install a bunch of different turbo set ups on it that bolt to the flange. Down pipe and intake would need some sort of mods but proably not too bad to do.- pelky350

Lift pumps and fueling
Pressure guage Is currently just under the hood haven't got to making it mountable in the cab yet. I plan on doing that soon hopefully. Going to get a 4 pod piller and get new gauges to monitor everything better- pelky350

New mechanical lift pump, at first my little guage would stay still for fuel pressure steady at 5psi. Now just like my old one it bounces back and forth. Custom tank has no sender, it's literally a box with two fuel lines, a breather and a filler neck attachment point. It looks well made but for some reason they decided not to put a float and sender in it or spot to put one. But to answer the other question about my gauges is no neither front or...- pelky350

Paid 150$ for a parts truck today!
