    Thought of the day. Does one T-stat flow enough coolant?

    No comment on the thermostat, but moving from the old copper/brass radiator to the aluminum unit yielded significant temperature reduction. I have the Spectre/AutoZone cu1165.

    Will the mechanical lift pump pull through a frame mounted electrical pump? Could the OP put the electric pump on a switch for priming or backup and not have any interference with the mechanical lift pump?

    Need help with fuel leak

    The adapter from the block to the oil feed line is what was leaking on my Truck. I cleaned the area with brake cleaner and shot it off with compressed air and hoped for the best. So far no leaks! Good luck.

    There is a mesh screen on the intake just before it enters the intake runners. Hopefully any remaining chunks are sitting on top of it. Pull the intake snail and have a look.

    I've experienced the whistle with the cap off. It is from the threads in the oil filler neck. Take a piece of paper, rolled up and cover the threads like a funnel. It should go away.

    I agree with all posted above, but how is your air filter? Still pretty clean? A restricted filter will produce all kinds of smoke.

    Are you wanting 3" blocks just because they are free? I would cut them in half to 1.5" and sell the remaining half to someone else that needs a body lift. I've trimmed down free blocks in the past to get a 1" lift.
