    So the transmission on my f250 1993 7.3 idi 2wd is shot, I ran it with low fluid due to a leak. So I filled it back up with ATF and now it basically only has reverse, barley propels itself in 1st, won’t shift out of first. What’s my best bet ? Get it rebuilt ? Replace it completely? Sell the truck ?

    Okay so I tired to remove my tensioner, took off the idler pulley, and then the tensioner pretty much fell off right behind it, why would it shear off like that ?     Since you mentioned no lock up in first or second, i have noticed it only happens when I’m getting on the highway and trying to gain highway speed, not in lower gears driving around town. How would i go about checking the torque converter?

    See that’s what I was thinking too, because it is only when my transmission is about to shift gears, it’ll spike up. It’s not like other air intrusion spikes I’ve have tho, like when I’m running low on fuel. It’s different

    I also recently tried the ATF in the fuel filter, and it didn’t seem to change much. I also wanted to add that it starts up very easily especially when warm, like in one crank, wouldn’t retarded timing cause a hard start ? Because I do not have that issue whatsoever so ever
