    I will not be getting back on the idler pulley for about two weeks. Wether or not it will be a tensioner or just an idler remains to be seen. I can make it either easily but simple is better and the alternator is an effective tensioner it’s just that the space between pulleys is too far.

    I bought a name brand v belt pulley to solve this problem but the inner race ID is 0.65 of an inch so a 5/8th shoulder bolt was too sloppy so I had to make a gizmo to use a 1/2 bolt. It works as the spacer I need and it is a very nice tight fit.

    Acid etching is the best for bare steel, for asthetics I often wet sand the zinc and wipeout or wax and grease remover before paint but for the frame I would scuff and than wipeout or wax and grease remover.

    I would replace only the bad ones if I have done them all since buying. If you have never done them than I would say it’s a good idea but that’s my thoughts.

    Brake lights and turn signals are down. I think the pedal switch for the brake lights needs replaced and I have no idea about the turn signals.

    my door handle broke off so I made this so I could at least open the door when I got home from work. Than when I went to fire it up the starter solonoid was stuck so I smacked it and it started. That’s what I get for having a parts store starter. The good starter just arrived today.

    Towing 5,000+ and hauling steel in the bed. I also use them for weekend dirtbike hauling, the other challenge I have is I only have street parking available so everything has to run unless I store it far away at relatives.
