    Diesel Rx Glow plugs

Wow you were right… they have come to the conclusion that it is most definitely my fault that they all failed. They said I must have used a boost charger for them to all die at the same time. I didn’t use any charger since my batteries are like new. But that’s good to know that a slightly...

    Diesel Rx Glow plugs

That would be pretty cool to see the difference. Learned my lesson anyway. I don’t care so much about the $100 I paid for them, but my free time is rare so I don’t want to waste the time to install something that doesn’t work and then have a hell of time getting these faulty plugs out of my truck.

    Diesel Rx Glow plugs

I had success getting them out after a lot of aggravation. I welded a pair of needle nose vice grips to a slide hammer attachment and was able to get them out. The ones I could t access with that tool I used vise grips and a pry bar. Fortunately I didn’t break any. I cold started and it...

    Diesel Rx Glow plugs

So I ordered glow plugs from accuratediesel. Stupid of me. They sent DieselRx plugs. I installed them and they worked for half a day before they all burnt out. Bought some motor craft plugs to replace them with but none of them will come out. They are all ballooned at the end. Also, I’m...

    Fuel line help

I bit the bullet an decided to go with 6AN stuff. I’m going to make 6AN whips down to the frame rails from the fuel tanks, convert to stainless hard line, replace fuel selector valve, and convert to Facet Duralift pump and delete the mechanical one. I also got the kit to replace the return...

    Fuel line help

so my fuel lines are rusted out and leaking. The fuel tanks were too and I already got the replacement polyethylene ones with new pickup tubes and shower heads etc. Anyway I’d like to replace all the fuel lines. I think I’d get a flexible nylon, but my question is how are you supposed to join...

    Oil leak source?

You are 100 % right. The bolt holding the snail thing above the intake was completely loose. I pulled it out by hand. And the gasket below it was sticking out on one side. Does anyone know where I can get this gasket? Also I guess I’ll have to take the turbo off. Anyone have a guide on that...

    Oil leak source?

Yes. Doing a little more research, it seems that everyone generally agrees that a little oil in the compressor inlet from the CDR is normal. My main concern is all the oil that is sprayed back there. But I’m thinking the only possible for source or that would either be the turbo or the valve covers

    Oil leak source?

So I just picked up a 1993 7.3 IDI factory turbo, and there appears to be a huge oil leak in the engine valley/back of the engine. The valve covers are 100% leaking but I’d be surprised if they are responsible for this mess. It looks like oil sprayed all over the firewall. there was also some...
